[name_f]Ottilie[/name_f]?
I’m not always sure I’m pronouncing it correctly but I love the look and feel and how it sounds in my head. So how do you say it?

I’ve always pronounced it aw-[name_m]TILL[/name_m]-ee or aw-tih-[name_u]LEE[/name_u].
I pronounce it O-Tih-[name_u]Lee[/name_u]
It comes from [name_f]Otthild[/name_f], which I have heard pronounced Oh-teeled and Oh-tiled, so I would be inclined to pronounce it Oh-teeley/ah-teeley or oh-tiley/ah-tiley, but I’m not sure what is considered the correct pronunciation or if there’s more than one accepted pronunciation?
[name_m]AH[/name_m]-tih-lee or AU-tih-lee, like the third pronunciation listed here (Hannahmae in the UK) Ottilie pronunciation: How to pronounce Ottilie in German, English, French, Dutch
[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-tuh-lee or [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-ti-lee, in Eastern US. It does kind of sound like [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-duh-lee when I say it fast.
In the UK it’s OT-ih-lee, with the OT being pronounced the same as the first syllable of otter or [name_m]Otto[/name_m]. It has the same rhythm as [name_f]Natalie[/name_f].
Oht-ti-[name_u]Lee[/name_u]
Like utterly with an o. OT-ih-lee.
Thank you all for your input!
I pronounce it Oh-till-ee.
I would say: O-till-ee
Nice name!
I pronounce it OT-ih-lee.
It generally comes out as ough (as in ought)-dih-lee, but that’s my lazy American accent coming out. When thinking about it in [name_m]German[/name_m], I say oh-[name_m]TEEL[/name_m]-ee-eh.
[name_m]OTT[/name_m]-til-lee in English, Oh-[name_m]TEEL[/name_m]-yuh in [name_m]German[/name_m]!
[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-tihl-lee!
I say OH-till-ee, with a short O like in the word ‘bronze’.
