How do you pronounce?

I just found this name, but I’m not 100% sure of the spelling & pronunciation.

How would you pronounce [name_f]Tais[/name_f] & [name_f]Thaïs[/name_f]? Are they the same with different spelling? Are they pronounced similar to the word “entice” or “isis?” What are your thoughts?

I would pronounce as tah-ees but I don’t know for sure.

I am not sure the correct pronunciation, but I would assume "tai-eese’ (‘eese’ with a S-sound like the end of [name_u]Reece[/name_u], not like the word ‘bees’)

I’ve only known a [name_f]Thais[/name_f] that pronounced it TYE-iss, but I’m not sure if that’s the correct pronounciation!

I first looked at these as TAY-iss (tay rhymes with lay)

but I can see TIE-iss or like Tyis (sorta like ties but with an i before the s/z sound?)

I would instinctively pronounce them the same (cause I pronounce [name_f]Thalia[/name_f] like [name_f]Talia[/name_f], but if someone said the second was with a th sound it would be easy to remember :wink: )

I’d pronounce them tah-ees or thah-ees - could be wrong though
