Slightly random question, but I’m just wondering how everyone says [name_u]Artemis[/name_u]. Nothing much more to it :).
I say it like in this clip: - YouTube except that in my accent the T ends up sounding more like a D.
Are-tem-iss
I just realized I say it with a D sound too. Ard-uh-miss. It might be because of where I live. I’m from [name_u]Brooklyn[/name_u], [name_m]New[/name_m] [name_m]York[/name_m].
ahr-teh-miss
I pronounce it AHR-te-mis, kind of with a schwa though.
AHR-teh-miss.
The T ends up sounding like a D for me too.
ARE-dih-miss
Ahr-teh-miss
ARE-duh-muss is how it comes out naturally ([name_u]West[/name_u] Coast US accent).
AHR-tuh-miss.
Ar-teh-miss with heavier emphasis on the t.
Thanks everyone! I was just curious, since I’m thinking of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] as a middle, and I wanted to know how prominent the -miss sound is (sometimes when I say it I slip more into -muss).
