I saw it on the blog today, the one titled: “What’s quirky got to do with it”
So, [name]Keturah[/name]… [name]How[/name] do you say it? I think i like it.

So, [name]Keturah[/name]… [name]How[/name] do you say it? I think i like it.
I pronounce it keh-toor-ah.
I would say kuh-TOO-rah or kih-TOOR-ah but I’m influenced by the Hebrew pronunciation which has an “oo” sounding vowel in it. I don’t know if its common enough to have a standard English pronunciation?
Keh-tur-ah. I knew girl named this growing up. Her nickname was [name]Kit[/name].
I’d say it Keh-teur-uh, with the middle bit rhyming with [name]Fleur[/name], if that makes sense.
I say it kuh-TOO-rah or kuh-TUR-uh
I would say Keh-tur-ah, with the “tur” rhyming with “stir.”
There’s a character in some of the [name]Robin[/name] Hobb books called Kettricken, which I think I like a little more.
Anyway, I would pronounce Kettricken as Keh-TRIK-en, so I’d probably pronounce [name]Keturah[/name] in a similar way, as Keh-TURE-ah. Doesn’t mean that’s right though:p
I know a girl called Katurah
It’s pronounced- Kah-Choo-rah
The only time I’ve ever really heard it pronounced was when we played a Bible game with my grandmother, haha. She always said it keh-TOUR (like a musical band that tours)-ah.
Good luck!
Ke-tour-uh…emphasis on ‘tour’
Ka - tour -ah
This! Also, I really like the nn [name]Kit[/name] for a girl.
Keh-toor-uh.
I like it a lot, I first saw it in a book called “[name]Keturah[/name] and [name]Lord[/name] Death”, very good read.
