How do YOU say...

[name_f]Talia[/name_f]?

I know two little ones - [name_f]Talya[/name_f] and [name_f]Talia[/name_f] - and they are said tall-yah. I fear that it would be pronounced ta-lee-yah (rhyming with [name_f]Aaliyah[/name_f]). I love the first pronunciation but dislike the second. I’m revamping my list and trying to see where [name_f]Talia[/name_f] fits, so let me know how you say it! Thanks!

I know a [name_f]Talia[/name_f] and she pronounces it tal-ee-yah.

I know one girl with this name and I call her “[name_u]Tal[/name_u]-ee-uh.” I’ve heard her sister call her “[name_u]Tal[/name_u]-yuh.” I guess she likes both? I’ve never been corrected by her.

I pronounce it as tal-ee-ah, but I’ve heard it both ways.

I would say TALL-ee-ah. If you want it to be pronounced tall-yuh I would use the [name_f]Talya[/name_f] spelling. It also probably depends on where you are, how people will pronounce it. It sounds like the people you know in your area pronounce it the way you like, then you are probably ok.

tah-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-uh

[name_m]TAH[/name_m]-lee-ah.

I’ve only ever heard it as “tal-ee-ah”.

[name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lee-ah

I say [name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lee-uh, but I’ve heard Tall-ee-ah as well.

Tall-ee-uh

I say tal yuh.

Instinctively I’d say ta-lee-a but I’ve heard it said both ways.

Talia- Tah-lee-uh
Talya- tall-yuh

I was going to be [name_f]Talia[/name_f] (Ta-[name_u]Lee[/name_u]-A) and I went to school with an [name_f]Atalia[/name_f] (At-Ta-[name_u]Lee[/name_u]-A) but everyone always pronouced it like A-Tar-[name_f]Lea[/name_f]

I’ve mostly heard it pronounced it tal-ee-uh

I would say [name_m]TAH[/name_m]-lee-uh.

[name_f]Talia[/name_f] = ta-lee-yah
[name_f]Talya[/name_f] = tal-yuh

At least for me that would make the most sense / it’s my gut feeling on how to pronounce these names.

I would say it tall-ee-uh, but that’s just because I prefer that pronunciation over the other. The only time I’ve heard [name_f]Talya[/name_f], it was said tal-yuh (with a short A as in cat, not like in tall or ball).

Always been [name_m]Tah[/name_m]-lee-uh for me
