I always ask the [name]Madeline[/name] I’m talking to how she wants it pronunced, I’ve met people with all different spellings who still pronounce it with the ending sound “lynn.” I don’t know if that is a US thing? I do know one girl that is actually [name]Madeline[/name] with a “line” sounding ending and quite like it!
Mad-uh-line, like the little girl who lives in the house covered in vines. BUT all of the girls I’ve met that use this spelling pronounce it 'Mad-uh-lin," even though I would definitely only spell that way as [name]Madelyn[/name] or [name]Madeleine[/name].
Mad-uh-line is the only way I’d pronounce this spelling, pronounced just like it’s spelled. [name]Madelyn[/name] is mad-uh-lynn and [name]Madeleine[/name] I never know how it’s supposed to be said as the spelling is weird to me (I’m American, if it matters) but I say it mad-uh-line.
I prefer the “line” pronunciation, but have only ever met Madelines who pronounce it Mad-uh-lynn.

Originally, I would pronounce [name]Madeline[/name] as Mad-uh-[name]LINE[/name] or Mad-uh-LEEN, depending on where I was. However, I’ve met so many [name]Madeline[/name]'s who pronounce it Mad-uh-lyn, I usually go with that.
I pronounce [name]Madeleine[/name] Mad-uh-[name]LEN[/name] or mad-uh-lin if lazy. I don’t know why, but it really bugs me when [name]Madeleine[/name] is pronounced Mad-uh-[name]LINE[/name]. It’s just so counter-intuitive to me.
