How does Bianca strike you?

Came across [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] in a children’s book I was reading to the kids today. I had never considered it before, but think I kind of like it! [name_f]Love[/name_f] the nn B (pron [name_f]Bea[/name_f]). What do you think of when you hear the name and do you think it could work in my sib set?

I really like [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] with your sibset, but it’s not a favorite of mine. I think of a girl I know from school who really gets on my nerves (as in, she sprays perfume really close, and starts playing with your hair at weird times). But that’s my issue. [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_m]Grant[/name_m], and [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] nickname [name_f]Bea[/name_f] are a great set.

I like [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] and I think it could definitely work with your sibset fabulously :).

She strikes me hard and then she says, ‘Where have you been, [name_m]Angelo[/name_m]?’ and though her face is red, she is shaking from the cold in her nightgown and bare feet. Her breath is steam, like boiled rage. There is too much to be contained and it escapes from her in clouds. She strikes me again but I cannot reply. I feel nothing.

(slow applause)

[name_f]Lovely[/name_f]! Renrose’s response is even lovelier.

[name_u]Ren[/name_u]! First prize to you :stuck_out_tongue:

I love [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]. It’s soft and delicate but still quietly strong. She’s feminine without being frilly and has spunky nicknames ([name_f]Bee[/name_f], [name_f]Ana[/name_f], Bia, Bonks :P). I think she goes great with your sibset.

sexy wife!

Lol, I couldn’t help myself. I was in writing mode, saw the thread title and that’s what happened.

I really like [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]. Strong, soft, and delicate, I agree. I think it works fine with your sibset.

I always want to love [name_f]Bianca[/name_f], but I never quite do. I think it looks beautiful on paper, but I guess I wish it sounded prettier. It might be one of those names that sounds nicer coming out of someone else’s mouth than my own.

I’ve only known one [name_f]Bianca[/name_f], and she was mesmerizingly beautiful, also smart and artistic… so this is what I picture.

I can’t get past the sound of [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] - it’s cold, harsh, unfriendly and unapproachable to me. I can imagine this name on these types of women: a spoiled princess who demands attention and loves to be noticed; a high-maintenance wife who doesn’t know the meaning of the word “compromise”; a woman that every man wants but remains unattainable due to her lofty aspirations (eg. no man is ever good enough for her). It’s one of the few Shakespearean names I don’t care for at all. I don’t think the name has the delicate and lyrical softness of [name_f]Isla[/name_f].

I really like [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]. I only know one, and I think it is underused.

I adore [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]. It makes me think of [name_f]Eva[/name_f] Gabor (The Rescuers and The Rescuers Down Under were a big deal when I was little). [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] is exotic but familiar; harsh but undeniably feminine. I love the sultriness of it (some people don’t like to think that way about a baby name but your kid will be an adult someday). I’ve only known one [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]. She was a gorgeous 5yr old with a deep, raspy voice. That was about 20yrs ago so she now likely fits the exotic, sultry image that I have of her name.

I like the name [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]; but maybe that’s because it’s my oldest sister’s name. Her middle name is [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] in case you’re wondering.

I like [name_f]Bianca[/name_f]. I don’t love it, but I like it. I think [name_f]Isla[/name_f], [name_m]Grant[/name_m], and [name_f]Bianca[/name_f] “[name_f]Bea[/name_f]” are sweet together, although I’m not sure I love it more than some of your other options (especially [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. Is [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] still an option? I love her so!).

I like it’s balance of softness with the B and sharpness with an “ankh”. Like a smoother version of [name_f]Annika[/name_f].

A little bit princessy and a little bit spunky.

[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] is a perfect mix between hard and soft, sweet and sassy. Kind of like [name_f]Isla[/name_f]!

Beautiful, and works beautifully with your sibset.

It’s not my style. I knew a girl with the name once. I was surprised that she was an eager to please preppy white girl, I assumed before meeting her that she’d be…I’m not sure…hispanic, and brash.

nice one ren rose

[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] sounds kind of frilly and lacy yet beautiful. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you get what I’m saying? Haha  I really like it! I’ve considered it in the past. I think it works wonderfully with your sibset too. All systems go!
