These are the two names we are considering for a baby girl. We love both so much that we are considering putting them together. I like how it sounds, but I wonder if its “too much”. What do you think?
I think they work together. [name]Leonor[/name] is not my style, but if these are the two names you love, I see no reason why you shouldn’t pair them together.
[name]Leonor[/name] is the Spanish version of [name]Eleanor[/name] so if you’re pronouncing it the Spanish way (lay-oh-[name]NOR[/name]) I think it’s fine. If you pronounce it “lee-oh-nor”, there would be too much “ee” sound with [name]Emilia[/name] for my liking. [name]Leonor[/name] is the name of the Infanta of Spain, the eldest daughter of Crown [name]Prince[/name] [name]Felipe[/name] and his wife [name]Letizia[/name].
[name]Leonor[/name] [name]Emilia[/name] is okay, but I much prefer [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Leonor[/name] for flow.
I think it’s very pretty! I like the idea of [name]Emilia[/name] [name]Leonor[/name], too, especially since I prefer [name]Emilia[/name] to [name]Leonor[/name], but I like [name]Emilia[/name] more as a MN, so I think [name]Leonor[/name] [name]Emilia[/name] would get my vote. Exotic/international and unpredictable, yet [name]Emilia[/name] sweetens it up, imo.
I agree with some of the other berries–[name]Emilia[/name] [name]Leonor[/name] flows better.
[name]Leonor[/name]? No. try leona or leonora. [name]Emilia[/name] is beautiful.

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Leonor[/name]! It’s one of my favourites, though I only like leh-o-[name]NOR[/name] (or LEH-uh-nor some days if I’m feeling particularly English lol). [name]LEE[/name]-uh-nor and luh-[name]NOR[/name] do nothing for me.
[name]Leonor[/name] [name]Emilia[/name] is gorgeous, in my opinion! I’d love to use [name]Leonor[/name] one day.
Thanks everyone for your input and help. I don’t know how to explain the way we pronounce [name]Leonor[/name]. All I can say is that it is “the Spanish way” (le-oh-nor). The connection with the Spanish royal family is a bit off-putting for us, but we like it regardless. Thanks again
