I also liked [name]Asher[/name] [name]Hayden[/name], but paired with [name]Quinn[/name] I thought there was too much “n” sounds.
Also, how do you pronounce [name]Gabriel[/name]? I say Gabri-ell but the emphasis is more on the first syllable of Gabri. My husband says Gabri-ull instead of the “eh” sound as is in egg. [name]Just[/name] curious how others say it? I thought his way sounded strange and he said my was wrong and weird! We may go with [name]Hayden[/name] if we can’t agree on the pronunciation!
Well, I’ve never met a [name]Gabriel[/name] who said it your way but I’ve met plenty of Girl [name]Gabrielle[/name] 's who say it that way. I’ve only heard [name]Gabriel[/name] pronounced gay-bree-uhl by preachers, people with the name, and other people talking about the name. I think I’ve seen other people on here who say it a different way, but not [name]IRL[/name].
I think [name]Asher[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] have a great sound. It’s cool and handsome.
[name]Asher[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] is great. It’s modern and spunky but doesn’t feel like it will become dated. I pronounce [name]Gabriel[/name] your husband’s way and [name]Gabrielle[/name] your way.
I agree with this. I hope you can agree about [name]Gabriel[/name], because I love it so much! I much prefer [name]Asher[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] to [name]Asher[/name] [name]Hayden[/name].
Well, it looks like I’m the odd one out. I don’t put the stronger emphasis on the elle so it doesn’t sound like I’m saying the girls version [name]Gabrielle[/name]. I just don’t say ull. It sounds strange to me and I don’t know if I would ever say it like that just because I’m so used to saying a slightly more ell sound! I try to say it his way and it comes out strange! I’ll work on it!
[name]Do[/name] you say the beginning of [name]Gabriel[/name] as [name]GAY[/name]-bree or GAH ([name]AH[/name] as in apple) - bree? As long as you’re saying [name]GAY[/name]-bree-el then I really don’t see the big difference. It sounds essentially the same to me. It’s just like… If I used [name]Cordelia[/name], and I say cor-dee-lee-ah, I wouldn’t freak out if someone said cor-deel-yah. It’s not a big enough difference for me to freak out about, haha. I say go for [name]Asher[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name]!
[name]Love[/name] [name]Asher[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Quinn[/name]. I actually say [name]Gabriel[/name] the way you do, I think, and I agree it sounds very distinct from the girls’ [name]Gabrielle[/name]. I also agree with PP that gay-bree-el and gay-bree-ul are not really that different. I always thought all those people who said gay-bree-ul were just being lazy in their pronunciation.
I agree with this. I much prefer [name]Asher[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name] [name]Quinn[/name] over [name]Asher[/name] [name]Hayden[/name] [name]Quinn[/name].
Well I understand your pronunciation better now and I say it sort of like that too. It’s an el sound but soft so it sort of sounds like uhl. I don’t know if that makes sense, so I hope you understand Since you’re not saying gay-bree-[name]ELLE[/name] , which is what i thought, then it’s perfectly fine. They’re not that different.
