What is the correct pronunciation of [name]Oriole[/name]?
As in, the bird? I’ve always heard it said like OR-ee-ohl/OR-ee-uhl. If it’s pronounced differently as a name, I have no clue!
I would say it like the bird the same way @ash described it unless someone told me otherwise. [name]Ive[/name] never seen it as a name before
[name]Just[/name] a troll, ignore it.
[name]Do[/name] you ladies see it as a usable bird name like [name]Lark[/name], [name]Starling[/name], and [name]Robin[/name]?
No, but I wouldn’t consider [name]Starling[/name] to be usable, either. I wouldn’t classify [name]Robin[/name] as a “bird name” since it’s a medieval diminutive of [name]Robert[/name].
I wouldn’t consider it useable in the US because of the [name]Baltimore[/name] Orioles baseball team.
Meh, I am not a baseball fan, so I didn’t even know it was a team lol.
I would definitely think of the team, which is named after the bird (the [name]Baltimore[/name] [name]Oriole[/name]) that is really common on the east coast…I think its a really pretty bird…
