I know of 3 Charlottes. My cousin’s little girl who is 3 years old and they only call her [name]Charlotte[/name]. My Great Grandmother’s sister’s name was [name]Charlotte[/name] and they called her [name]Lottie[/name]. I also went to school with a [name]Charlotte[/name] in H.S. and we called her [name]Char[/name]. I like [name]Lottie[/name] out of all choices. I think it is adorable!
I know five [name]Charlotte[/name]'s, one 33 year old, two 30 year old’s, one 12 year old and one six year old. They go by [name]Char[/name]/Lotts, [name]Lottie[/name], [name]Char[/name]/[name]Charlie[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Lottie[/name].
I know 2 and they go by their full names only. I love [name]Charlotte[/name]; I don’t care for any of the nicknames
I know 4, the oldest 6ish the youngest just turned a year. Two go by [name]Charlie[/name] (said like the boys nn for [name]Charles[/name]) the other by their full names.
I know one [name]Charlotte[/name], though she is in her 60’s. She doesn’t go by any nn. I do know a little [name]Charlie[/name] (g) though (not short for anything).
Well I am feeling so much better about using [name]Charlotte[/name] now, especially with the nn [name]Lottie[/name]! Seems to me that the name isn’t really quite as popular it’s made out to be. I have only ever met 4 or 5 Charlottes, ages 1-50. And 4 of those don’t even live in the same state as me. The only [name]Charlotte[/name] who lives anywhere near us goes by [name]Charlie[/name]. So to me it feels like a very familiar name, but one that isn’t overly common. And I love that!
Thanks for all your comments! It’s a relief to me that a name we love, and that has special family connections, isn’t as popular as I feared.
I know two Charlottes. [name]One[/name] is in her mid-20s, and sometimes goes by [name]Char[/name], but it’s just a nickname and not really what she “goes by”, if that makes sense?
The other is a 3 year-old named [name]Charlotte[/name] and she gets called [name]Charlie[/name] 90% of the time.
I love [name]Lottie[/name] as a nickname!
A close of friend of mine named her baby [name]Charlotte[/name] last summer. I’ve only heard her call her by her full name.
I have yet to meet a [name]Charlotte[/name]. I know they exist because I see them on FB, but there is none in my circle of friends or my daughter’s school.
I only know one [name]Charlotte[/name], and she is probably late 40s. She only goes by her full name.
I only know one [name]Charlotte[/name], age 1. I love [name]Lottie[/name] as a nn. Go for it!
Off the top of my head I only know one [name]Charlotte[/name] who sometimes refers to herself as [name]Charlie[/name]. Her parents wanted to enforce that people only called her [name]Charlotte[/name], I guess in a way she rebelled.
I would love to meet a little [name]Charlotte[/name], nicknamed [name]Lottie[/name] though. Gorgeous.
I know 2, one goes by [name]Charlie[/name] and the other by [name]Char[/name]
I know 2.
1 is 7 and goes almost exclusively by [name]Charlie[/name]
the other is also 7 and goes by [name]Charlotte[/name] only.
Loving the nn [name]Lottie[/name]- I would use it myself if I had a [name]Charlotte[/name] or maybe [name]Sharli[/name].
I have four Charlottes on my university course. [name]One[/name] goes exclusively by [name]Lottie[/name], one about 80% [name]Charlie[/name], and the other two are mostly [name]Char[/name] or [name]Charlotte[/name]. All aged 20/21.
Then I know one who’s about 10 and goes by [name]Charlotte[/name] to most, though [name]Charlie[/name] and [name]Lottie[/name] at home, and then another couple who are friends of my sisters, one’s about 19 and is [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Lottie[/name], and one’s 16 and is [name]Char[/name], [name]Charlie[/name] or [name]Charlotte[/name].
I know 3 Charlottes. We often call my aunt, [name]Char[/name], but the other two, who I went to school with, never had nicknames. [name]One[/name] of them is in her early 30’s and the other mid 20’s.
I know three [name]Charlotte[/name]'s they are known as [name]Charlotte[/name] and one is sometimes [name]Charlie[/name]. I love [name]Lottie[/name] for [name]Charlotte[/name].
i only know one who is 14, she goes by [name]Charlotte[/name]. [name]Lottie[/name] and [name]Charlie[/name] are the most popular nicknames but I like [name]Lola[/name] the most. [name]Lottie[/name] would be cute
The only [name]Charlotte[/name] I know is my own age. She always goes by [name]Charlotte[/name] or Punky for some odd reason.
I know 5, all in their early 20s. 2 of them go by [name]Charlotte[/name], the other 3 go by [name]Charlie[/name] (spelt in various different ways). I’ve never known one to go by [name]Lottie[/name], so that does make it more unique, but I don’t particularly like [name]Charlotte[/name] as I suppose in my experience it’s quite common.
