How many do you know?

I’m trying to figure out how popular these names are:

[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]

I don’t know any kids with these names (the [name_f]Iris[/name_f] I know is late 20s, early 30s), but I’d say [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] is likely the least common of these, as it doesn’t rank anywhere statistically at all.

I do not know and have never met anyone with any of those names.

I’ve met three Violets ranging from a toddler to a senior. None of the others.

I know 0. I’ve been a teacher for 4 years, and worked in schools 3 years before that and didn’t know a single one with those names. You can look it up by your state if you want.

[name_f]Edit[/name_f]: I lied. I know of one. My husband’s bosses daughter is named [name_f]Violet[/name_f], but I don’t really know her. :stuck_out_tongue:

[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] - 0
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - 1
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - 1
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - 2

1 [name_f]Violet[/name_f]. None of the other.

I know 3 Violets- one is 9 or 10, one is in her 20s and one who’s middle-aged. I don’t know and don’t recall ever having met anyone with any of the other names. That being said, I don’t spend much time around/know many babies or young children, which might affect the sample.

I know one [name_f]Violet[/name_f] (less than a year old) and one [name_f]Iris[/name_f] (probably in her 60s). Never met anyone named [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].

I only know an [name_f]Iris[/name_f] aged 2 and one who is in her 80s.

I’ve never known any!

I know a [name_f]Violet[/name_f] and an [name_f]Iris[/name_f], but none of the others.

I don’t know any with these as first names…I know one who has the middle name [name_f]Iris[/name_f] (she’s almost 4).

[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] -O
[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - >5 children
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - 2 older women, )0 children
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - > 6 older women , 1 baby
(That’s in Australia so unsure if that concerns you.

[name_f]Violet[/name_f] - one
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] - one, but that’s the full name
Rozabeth and [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but no [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]
No [name_f]Iris[/name_f]

[name_f]Coraline[/name_f]: 0
[name_f]Violet[/name_f]: 3
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]: 1
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]: 3

I would definitely say [name_f]Coraline[/name_f] is the least common, but I like [name_f]Violet[/name_f] the best.

I don’t currently know anyone with those names.

When I worked in nursing home 20 years ago we had a few Violets and a few Women named [name_f]Iris[/name_f].

One of the kids I nannied for a couple of years back was an [name_f]Iris[/name_f]. She would be about 14 now. It was the first time I had met anyone called [name_f]Iris[/name_f] (same with her sister, [name_m]Innes[/name_m], nn [name_f]Nessie[/name_f]).

[name_m]Don[/name_m]'t know anyone with any of those other names. I’m from the UK. They are all really pretty and have a lovely old fashioned ring to them, they sound like they would weather the rise and fall of naming trends well

I know one [name_f]Iris[/name_f], I don’t know any kids with the other names on your list (my husband has vetoed them from my list though).
