47 hours! I feel like everyone here would disagree and say it’s taking them a lot longer…

Going on 3 months lol
It feels like I’ve spent more than that already… and my boyfriend hasn’t shown me his list yet! Which means we haven’t started narrowing down… But I guess most people aren’t as name obsessed as we are!
There are also people who had a name picked out in advance that are throwing that number off. If this was a girl, it would have taken me no time because I knew the exact name that I was in love with. [name]Even[/name] with the boy, I had an idea of what I liked and it was mostly just a hunt for a middle name, which took several days of dedicated searching and consideration, but less than a week, easily less than 47 hours. Although not having an opinionated father messing things up for me helped–my ex and I spent more time than this arguing about baby names and we weren’t even trying to conceive, were just planning to at some point.

but now that im TTC i find myself looking at names at least a few hours a day
I had the first name chosen already, but I spent countless hours thinking about the perfect middle name. And when I get pregnant again, it will most likely take me the entire 40 weeks to find a name I love… but it will be an exciting process!
4 years? an on/off again search ever since I got pregnant with my first in january 2009, continued for future children. Now Pregnant with my Second, and I’ve been Actively looking since [name]January[/name] when we started TTC.
Of every waking moment spent on naming the babe? That’s 1400 hours +++
That’s an impossible survey to do with any sort of accuracy. No parent clocks in and out of baby naming, and who counts the offhand thoughts throughout one’s life taking note of names you like. Not to mention all the people (like myself) who have kept lists of names since childhood… does that count as well??

I’ve been all names, all the time since I got my positive. I won’t be 100% finished until I get the forms filled out. Then I’m sure I’ll start in on sibling names.

Hmm… on Nameberry for about (or at least!) an hour at a time, a few nights most weeks, for the past 15 months…
