[name_f]My[/name_f] partner and I now have a list of names we agree on, which we drafted with direct and indirect inspiration from name ideas suggested by you .
If you’d like, please join our on-going dialogue on these names and do tell us, which one do you think is better suited to join [name_m]Jude[/name_m], [name_f]Vivian[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]?
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] and [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] are wonderful timeless names. [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] and [name_m]Noel[/name_m] are charming and beautiful too. I think these four names work very well with Jud€, Vivi@n and Audr&y.
[name_m]Noel[/name_m], [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m] fit the best with siblings names I think - [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is so popular at the moment though, if you’re going for something a bit more distinct I would steer clear (although it is popular for a good reason)!
[name_m]Noel[/name_m] or [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] for me! They’re both familiar and sweet, and not too tied to any one time period. I could say the same about [name_m]Henry[/name_m], but [name_m]Noel[/name_m] and [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] feel fresher and more unexpected to me, so I like them better!
I don’t find [name_m]Henry[/name_m] tired at all? He’s a perennial classic! He is quite common right now, but I’m still happy to meet little Henry’s. I like him best with your other kiddos, but I also like [name_m]Noel[/name_m] and [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] with them too.
Voting [name_m]Noel[/name_m] or [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] from the list. [name_m]Noel[/name_m] is the least tired so to speak. [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], I like the name better and think it’s cool that [name_m]Jude[/name_m] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] get the u- and d- and [name_f]Vivian[/name_f] and [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] get the v- and i-. A very symmetrical and stylistically appealing set.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is too classic to be really ever tired.
[name_m]Travis[/name_m] isn’t quite right in the sib group for me, but liking the name is more important. If it’s the one you agree on, it’s a great name.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is fitting in the sib group and a strong name. The set of 4 does say to me 2020-ish; whereas, [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] or [name_m]Noel[/name_m] conveys more of a super, strong sibset vibe to round out the group.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is never a bad choice unless it’s bad flow with a mn or ln, just not my favorite.
HTH!
I don’t think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is tired, but it just doesn’t seem to fit perfectly with your other kids’ beautiful names. I can’t put my finger on why. Perhaps [name_m]Henry[/name_m] feels more formal?
I love [name_m]Lewis[/name_m], [name_m]Travis[/name_m], & [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] as options with the set. I wonder if [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] goes the opposite direction from Henry… if it feels more casual than [name_m]Jude[/name_m], [name_f]Vivian[/name_f], and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. But I think it takes [name_m]Jude[/name_m] in a cowboy direction and makes the two work together. [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] and [name_m]Travis[/name_m] might be a little more of the middle-of-the-road, underused but well-liked, fit-right-in options.
You have a great list. I really like [name_m]Henry[/name_m], I don’t think the popularity matters. (Vivian is very popular too). I know it’s not on the list but I prefer [name_m]Niall[/name_m] over [name_m]Noel[/name_m].
I would choose [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] with your other kids’ names. I love [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]!
I don’t think [name_m]Noel[/name_m], [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], or [name_m]Travis[/name_m] match the other names all that well, and I wouldn’t choose [name_m]Henry[/name_m] for this particular sibling set because it has the same last syllable as [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]. [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is okay, that would be my second choice.
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m] gets my vote from your list! I think I suggested it to you, and it’s my son’s name so obviously I think it’s great. I like it with your other kids’ names as well.
In answer to the question in your heading: I do find [name_m]Henry[/name_m] tired, because I hear it a lot. I have to admit I’ve never been particularly fond of it regardless.
The other names on your list feel like a bit of a mismatch with the older kids. [name_m]Jude[/name_m], [name_f]Vivian[/name_f] and [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] sound classy, distinguished and literary/creative (as does Lewis). [name_m]Noel[/name_m] sounds like a bit of an outlier age-wise - it feels like a name for an older man, not a little boy, while [name_m]Gavin[/name_m], [name_m]Travis[/name_m] and [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] feel more cowboy/country and western.
[name_m]Noel[/name_m] ~ sweet, unexpected name with a wintry Christmassy feel. I like [name_m]Noel[/name_m] and I think he provides a cool ‘mad men’ midcentury feel of your sibling set.
[name_m]Lewis[/name_m] ~ honestly you can’t go wrong with [name_m]Lewis[/name_m]! He’s soft, sweet, outdoorsy and peaceful despite his action packed meaning. He has lovely literacy references and works well with your kiddos.
[name_m]Gavin[/name_m] ~ personally I’m not a fan of a lot of ‘g’ boy names I find the sound harsh which includes [name_m]Gavin[/name_m]. Also I’m [name_f]English[/name_f] and I do think [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] & [name_f]Stacey[/name_f] which I do love but I wouldn’t want the association with the show for my son.
[name_m]Travis[/name_m] ~ for me [name_m]Gavin[/name_m] + [name_m]Travis[/name_m] are off a similar style and I’m just not a fan of [name_m]Travis[/name_m] for me it’s a bit clunky and just doesn’t have an appealing sound to me.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] ~ this name feels very southern American boy vibes which is cool you can see him running around climbing trees, riding horses and wearing plaid shirts. Still [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] feels rather modern next to your girls.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] ~ I love [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! He is popular but he’s a classic that in my opinion has always been popular like [name_m]William[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is the most natural fit within your sibling set.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] + [name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_m]Noel[/name_m]. Unexpected and matches well with [name_m]Jude[/name_m]. Suggestions: [name_m]Asher[/name_m], [name_m]Micah[/name_m], [name_m]Silas[/name_m], [name_m]Simon[/name_m], [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].
I like [name_m]Lewis[/name_m] best with the group. However [name_m]Travis[/name_m] just sounds like the youngest brother of this group and I think while a little bit different stylistically he actually works great.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] is a favorite for a reason but I do know so many little Henrys!!
