How to get nn Katie?

I’m really not fond of the [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] spelling. I suppose [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] is better, but [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]—> [name_f]Catie[/name_f]?
Can [name_f]Kate[/name_f] stand alone and have the nickname [name_f]Katie[/name_f]? Or, opinions on [name_f]Katrina[/name_f]/ new suggestions?

[name_f]Kaitlyn[/name_f]

Why not just go with [name_f]Katie[/name_f]? I went to high school with a couple of girls that were named [name_f]Katie[/name_f]. [name_f]Kate[/name_f] would work as a [name_f]Katie[/name_f], though, in my opinion.

I’m [name_f]Katie[/name_f] without a nn, and I have to admit I quite like it. It has the option of going to [name_f]Kate[/name_f], which sounds a touch more formal if I want to and I always got to go by [name_f]Katie[/name_f] if there were multiples since other people were really [name_f]Katherine[/name_f], [name_f]Katelyn[/name_f], etc  I had a great grandma named [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] Katerine and really fell in love with Katerine. That would be a great long version for [name_f]Katie[/name_f]!

I’d opt for [name_f]Catalina[/name_f] or [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] and [name_f]Cate[/name_f], but [name_f]Katie[/name_f] works on its own. I don’t like any of the longer versions with the K-.

I prefer [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], also. If I ever named a daughter [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] I would call her [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. I think a [name_f]Kate[/name_f] could also be a [name_f]Katie[/name_f].

You can call a [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. It’s good enough for [name_f]Kate[/name_f] Middleton.

I do prefer [name_f]Katharine[/name_f] to [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]. For me, in order of preference, it’s [name_f]Katharine[/name_f], then [name_f]Catherine[/name_f], then [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]… [/tangent]

I would consider [name_f]Katrina[/name_f], [name_f]Kathleen[/name_f], [name_f]Katia[/name_f]/[name_f]Katya[/name_f]/[name_f]Katja[/name_f], [name_f]Katerina[/name_f], or even [name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] for [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. Before [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].

I know a few people who’s full names are [name_f]Kate[/name_f], and I actually prefer [name_f]Kate[/name_f] to [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katharine[/name_f]/[name_f]Catherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Caitlin[/name_f] etc. I think [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is quite classic and lovely, whereas I’m really not a fan of all the others.

Ther are actually lots of different variations of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]/[name_f]Katelyn[/name_f]/[name_f]Katie[/name_f] along with names that start with [name_f]Kat[/name_f]. [name_f]Maye[/name_f] one of them can inspire you?
