How To Honor Ray?

I really want to honor a [name_u]Ray[/name_u], but I don’t like the name for boys or girls. I do like the name [name_f]Rayleigh[/name_f], so it is a possibility, but I’m not sure if I love the name or if it fits with all the other names I love. [name_f]My[/name_f] naming style is more Biblical. Thanks for any help!

Raymond
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f]
[name_u]Ramsey[/name_u]
[name_u]Rain[/name_u] [name_f]Rayne[/name_f] or [name_f]Raine[/name_f]
[name_m]Raymond[/name_m]
[name_f]Mireya[/name_f]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Raina[/name_f]
[name_f]Raya[/name_f]

I think [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] is very cute for a little boy.

How much of a stretch are you open to?

Names with the same sound:
Rae
Raya
Rayna
Israel

Means ray/sun:
Elaina/Elaine
Samson/Sampson

Edit:
Definitely a stretch, but maybe Susan? The ending syllable sounds like Sun so you could call her Sunny, Sunshine, or Sunray.

We’re planning to use [name_u]Rae[/name_u] as a mn. for a girl, but here are a few other options.

Araya
[name_f]Andraya[/name_f]
[name_u]Braydon[/name_u]/Braylon
[name_m]Crayton[/name_m]
[name_f]Desiray[/name_f]
[name_f]Grayce[/name_f]
[name_u]Grayson[/name_u]
[name_m]Rayford[/name_m]
[name_f]Rayleigh[/name_f]/Raylynn
[name_f]Soraya[/name_f]/Suraya
[name_m]Tray[/name_m]/Trayce
[name_m]Traylor[/name_m]

The only one I can think of that hasn’t been mentioned is [name_m]Koray[/name_m]

I love the suggestion of [name_f]Soraya[/name_f]!

Rayna
[name_f]Raegan[/name_f]
[name_f]Raelynn[/name_f]
[name_f]Rachel[/name_f]
[name_f]Freya[/name_f]
[name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Mireya[/name_f]
[name_u]Raven[/name_u]
[name_f]Desiree[/name_f]/Desirae
[name_f]Mireille[/name_f] (meer-RAY)
[name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] (oh-RAY-lee-a)-bonus that it means golden like a ray of sunshine!
