How to honour Nikolas in a girls’ name?

[name_m]Even[/name_m] though our first baby, [name_f]Elise[/name_f], was born just a month ago, I find myself thinking of our next baby’s name already!

We are only planning on having two children, so we want our next baby’s middle name to honour my brother even if it’s another girl! Our boy name would probably be [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Nikolas[/name_m].

So, does anyone have any ideas how to honour [name_m]Nikolas[/name_m] with a girly middle name? Not sure what her first name would be yet, but here are the other names who were on our list for [name_f]Elise[/name_f] :

With the names you like, my favorite middle name choices would be either [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f] or [name_f]Colette[/name_f]. [name_f]Anna[/name_f] [name_f]Colette[/name_f] would be lovely.

First one I thought of was Nikkitie, I actually knew a girl named this, prn like [name_u]Nik[/name_u]-ih-tye, and always thought it was an interesting uncommon [name_u]Nicky[/name_u] name instead of the common forms like [name_u]Nichole[/name_u] or [name_f]Nicolette[/name_f].

I know someone named Nikolina, we call her [name_u]Nik[/name_u]. Its such a cute fun name and would be perfect for honoring the name [name_m]Nikolas[/name_m]!

I’m a fan of [name_u]Nicola[/name_u] and it’s underused! I like [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Nicola[/name_u] a lot. [name_f]Nicolina[/name_f] is also pretty. I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] [name_f]Nicolina[/name_f].

[name_f]Nicole[/name_f] and [name_f]Colette[/name_f] are the more obvious choices, but as cute as they are for English speakers or European [name_m]French[/name_m], in [name_m]French[/name_m] [name_f]Canada[/name_f] they’re still too old sounding! Not ready for a come back here yet :wink:
