Does anyone know for certain how to pronounce this roman name?
It’s Ahnn-ee-ah, at least, that’s how I was taught, but the “ahnn” isn’t the long Aaah of [name]Anja[/name] but it’s not quite as short as [name]Anne[/name].
I haven’t had Latin for about eight years, but I think it’s [name]AH[/name]-nee-uh. You might check this out (which I just saw last night, coincidentally): http://appellationmountain.net/2010/02/16/name-of-the-day-annia/
What a pretty name! I would pronounce it UH-Nee-Uh, but I am not a Latin expert.
