How to pronounce the dutch Jasmijn? (more Q's inside)

Is it pronounced jazz-mihn, ryhmes w/ tin or ten :stuck_out_tongue:

or jazz-mean, rymes w/ bean ^^

Also
how do you pronouce the german name [name]Kathe[/name]( w/ the 2 dots over the “e”)

And I would also like to finally know how(from danish natives) to pronounce the girl name Laerke O.O

thanks :3

For [name]Kathe[/name], do you mean the two dots (umlaut) is over the a? Because that’s a recognizable [name]German[/name] name, pronounced, roughly, “KEH-teh”

Consulted my Netherlands born-and-raised hubby and he says Jasmijn would be said as yoss-mine. Our Dutch niece is actually [name]Jasmine[/name] and it’s said the American way, jazz-min. Very pretty name!
