I think I like the Macklin spelling best.

Is it going to be more [name_m]Mac[/name_m]-[name_u]Lynn[/name_u] or [name_m]Mac[/name_m]-Lan sounding?

That would be whether or not I choose Macklin or Macklan spelling.

Cengel73, we are thinking along the lines of [name_m]Mac[/name_m]-[name_u]Lynn[/name_u]. My DH doesn’t like the idea of putting a Y in the name though as he finds it to look kind of girlie.

Machlan came to mind first, like [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m] with an M (and the -ack instead of -ock).

From yours, I like Maclan the most.

Macklin, if that’s how you want it pronounced.

I agree, Macklin will get you the correct prn.

I chose Maclan. To me, they would all be pronounced the same, and this one looks the best by far. I really think you would like MacLean or Maclane, which have that authentic Irish flair, while still retaining the awesome nickname Mac {and Mackie <3}. There’s also:

Maximilian/Maxwell/Macsen
Macaulay
Malcolm
Maddoc
Malachi

Good luck!

[name_m]Mac[/name_m] McClancy? Macklin Mclancy?

I don’t think this is a great combo…I did want to put that out there.

But if you are to choose that name I guess an [name_f]Lin[/name_f] ending seems most fitting.

I like the spelling Maclan personally. It is like other boys lan-names ect. [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] and [name_m]Lachlan[/name_m].

Macklin is a great choice, and a great spelling.

Maclin and Maclan look incomplete to me, so I would choose Macklin or Macklan.
