Hey guys. So my fiancé and I finally decided we will name our next child Mad Uh [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] if it is a girl.

I would spell it [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]. To me, [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is mad-uh-line and [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is mad-uh-len.
I would spell it as [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f]; it’s a lovely choice.
I love the look of [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f], which feels more international, and I think you can get the pronunciation you want.
Thanks. I only like the [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] or [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] spellings.
Of those two, [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] for sure. I would pronounce [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] as mad-uh-line, like the book character.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] looks cleaner to me and would definitely get the pronunciation you want where I’ve lived (all over Midwest and south USA). It’s my middle sister’s middle name pronounced -[name_u]Lynn[/name_u].
Definitely [name_f]Madeline[/name_f]. It looks more sophisticated and elegant than [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f].
Ditto this. [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] could work too.
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] looks more sophisticated than [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f], in my opinion.
I’m not a fan of the way [name_f]Madelyn[/name_f] looks (though it has the most intuitive pronunciation) and to me, [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] is mad-uh-line. [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] looks pretty and, while there may be a few stumbles, I think the pronunciation is fairly clear.
[name_f]Madeleine[/name_f] is my favorite, then [name_f]Madeline[/name_f].
