How usable is Seraphine?

I’ve been kicking around the name [name]Seraphine[/name] for a while, but was wondering how usable it is. [name]How[/name] would it fit with my other names (see signature)? Obviously, I wouldn’t use [name]Violet[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] in the same sibset…

Eh, I’m not really a fan, sorry. I like [name]Seraphina[/name] a lot, but [name]Seraphine[/name] seems more descriptive, almost like “angelic” rather than [name]Angelica[/name], if that makes sense? I think it could definitely fit in, especially with [name]Evangeline[/name], and potentially [name]Adelaide[/name], but I think [name]Seraphina[/name] would fit in a lot better with your other options.

I definitely think it’s usable, though–no more or less usable than [name]Seraphina[/name], anyway, and everyone seems to love that now!

[name]Seraphine[/name] is beautiful and I think it’s entirely usable. I think it would fit pretty well with most of the names in your signature, specifically [name]Eliza[/name], [name]Rosalie[/name], [name]Evangeline[/name], [name]Gideon[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], and [name]Spencer[/name]. I would definitely add it!

If you were to use [name]Seraphina[/name], I think [name]Evangeline[/name] and [name]Seraphina[/name] would make a perfect sibset!

I like it. I love [name]Seraphina[/name], but [name]Seraphine[/name] is nice too. It’s more…sticky sweet feeling to me though.

[name]Love[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name]/[name]Seraphine[/name]. And [name]Evangeline[/name] is a favorite of mine too.

I like [name]Seraphine[/name] a lot! I love [name]Seraphina[/name] too. I prefer [name]Seraphina[/name] as a FN but I think [name]Seraphine[/name] is better as a MN that is just me though.

I actually find [name]Seraphine[/name] less saccharin than [name]Seraphina[/name], and I think it is totally useable. I considered it myself but DH (as usual!) didn’t care for it. I find it to be less predictable and a little edgier.

I love it and think it’s very usable. I also love [name]Seraphina[/name]. I don’t think you could go wrong with either choice.

I like [name]Seraphine[/name] a lot:) I prefer [name]Seraphina[/name] though, but both are pretty.

It’s extremely useable. I could see it working on many different types of women. It has the same rhythm as [name]Josephine[/name], which is a common name, and it’s pronunciation is obvious. If worse came to worse, she could always go by [name]Sera[/name]. But I think it wouldn’t come to that, since the name is lovely.

i agree with ap that it sounds like an adjective instead of a name. which is fine because I know there are kids named descriptive words BUT it sounds like serene or surreal . I love [name]Seraphina[/name] a lot though

[name]Bella[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] is cute or even

[name]Violet[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] is adorable too

Totally agree with [name]Ash[/name].
[name]Seraphine[/name] is pretty but I don’t really like it as a name, especially as a first name.

I don’t see any reason why it’s not usable. It’s gorgeous by the way.

With the other names…
[name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - [name]Seraphine[/name] seems more utra-girly than [name]Adelaide[/name].
[name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - style does not match so well to me.
[name]Evangeline[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - great style match but don’t know if you want two names ending in -ine.
[name]Georgia[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - [name]Seraphine[/name] seems “fancier” [name]Georgiana[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name], maybe.
[name]Iris[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - [name]Iris[/name] seems plain by comparison.
[name]Pearl[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - [name]Pearl[/name] seems even more plain than [name]Iris[/name] with [name]Seraphine[/name].
[name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] – hmm, maybe… I can’t decide.
[name]Rosalie[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - I think I like this one.
[name]Sophie[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - maybe, perhaps too much s and f sounds together. and [name]Seraphine[/name] seems fancier than [name]Sophie[/name].
[name]Violet[/name] and [name]Seraphine[/name] - as you mentioned, using these together right now isn’t a great ideal. Although I do like them together.

I think the best style match with [name]Seraphine[/name] is another long and girly name

I’m not a fan of names like [name]Angel[/name], [name]Angela[/name], [name]Angelica[/name], etc, and [name]Seraphine[/name] goes right into that grouping for me. I prefer [name]Seraphine[/name] to [name]Seraphina[/name], though, based solely on the look of the name.
