How would spell ...?

[name_m]Hi[/name_m], all you lovely Berries!

This may sound goofy but in the middle of the night last night a name came to me but I’m not quite sure if the spelling I’ve got in my mind will get me the pronunciation I want.

Ok, the name is [name_u]Lee[/name_u] - ance (like stance). And I’m not a fan of hyphenated names.

Leance looks kinda funny, like it might pronounced Leence but I can’t think of any other way to spell it.

So, how would you spell it?

Thanks in advance.

I think it depends how out-there you want to get with the spelling.

Leighance or Leighanse would clear up the ‘Leence’ look.
Leiance, though that could be said ‘lay-ance’ instead.
Leyance, again, could be ‘lay-ance’ but more likely to be said [name_u]Lee[/name_u] I think. People might think it’s [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-ance-ay, but I don’t know.
Liance/Lianse
Lyance/Lyanse

I think Liance or Lyanse would probably be my choice of spelling.

Oh, hey now, I do like the Liance & Lianse spellings.

Thanks.

[name_m]Just[/name_m] as an after thought, what do think of the name?

Leeants?

Liance/Lianse looks like it would be pronounced as lie-ance.

I don’t like the name.
