Use vibes, emojis, emotions, colours, words, personal ideas and perceptions or whatever, if you feel you need them. But I would like if you gave a detailed answer!
I think if I had to describe my style, I’d say names that are:
- strong but sweet
- rugged and earthy - green rolling hills, lofty cliffs, quiet forests
- distinctive and sparky - something with a little kick - but with a quietness underlying that, a gentleness
- two syllables, but maybe three
I’m really bad at defining my style
[name_f]My[/name_f] emojis are all over the place lol
I’d say for my boys…
Medieval knights, dusty libraries, stargazing while lying on soft grass…
[name_f]My[/name_f] girls though… harder to peg down
Antique science equipment, ruffled dresses in dark greens and blues, writing about their romantic encounters in their journals…
Apparently I can only describe in vibes
In general…
- strong names
- nickname-able
- uncommon but not unheard of
- magical/mysterious
It just feel very [name_f]British[/name_f] cool to me, or very Autumnal.
Eclectic, classic, and unique. Intellectual - inspired by history, literature, and science. [name_u]Strong[/name_u].
I’m bad with emojis. Umm maybe:
??
Warm and earthy colours - lots of yellows, rich browns, deep greens.
Uncommon but not too out their
Doesnt age well (i love Sunny, indie,Poppy etc)
i’d say for girls: classic, wearable, versatile, melodic, touch of nature, & feminine!
(the general progression cracks me up)
for boys: cute, soft but still masculine, traditional, family ties (true for all but more for boys)
i don’t really know how to describe it, but i need THAT feeling— i don’t really have it with girls but i do with boys, making the names that much harder for me!
(honestly, i’m not sure what this is haha ^^)
I would just define it as somehow Byzantine or serious, very literary, with some mythological influences. Something a scholar of the past centuries would use.
I really like your style.
Thank you so much! That’s very kind, and what a vivid description:)
folksy, southern, laidback, and crunchy
i like everything from lynx and kampton to judah and shepherd for boys, and anything from wrenna and aspyn, to evangeline and ada for girls!
Like Anne Shirley walks into a regency era ball and then decides to start singing Taylor Swift is the best way I can describe it. (/hj)
Nature-inspired vintage, I think would be a good way to describe it! They’re storybook characters, some amount of whimsy, but also adventurers, explorers, and daydreamers!
For my girls names, I think the emojis would be something along the lines of:
And for my boys, they’d be:
I think? Maybe?
It is not exactly my style, but I find [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] and [name_f]Ada[/name_f], for example super refreshing
Definitely
Hmmm… I’d say for both boys and girls, I really like names with a vintage, midcentury feel, especially ones with nicknames. For girls, I also like ones that have sort of a similar vibe but maybe slightly more modern and more of a fun, party girl feel (idk how else to describe it). For boys, I also tend to like names with sort of a rugged cowboy vibe. Other than that though I’m all over the place, there are lots of random names I like that couldn’t fit into any of those categories!
thank you! magnolia and ada are two of my most favorites. part of the reason it appeals to me is the way it isn’t most people’s style
LOL
maybe like
-nature
-warriors
-strong women
-galactic
-modern
I love names that are beautiful - beautiful to write and to say and to hear.
Old-fashioned and nostalgic names.
Literary and poetic names.
Names of people I admire.
According to nameberry quizzes I like hipster, cottage core, and steam punk names.
I would just say my style is eclectic and sound-based.
Lots of nature and mythological names. A lot names that others would consider way too out there and not wearable.
[name_f]My[/name_f] girls and boys are a bit different. [name_f]My[/name_f] girls are longer and more whimsical and rare, my boys are often more common and shorter.
are emojis I’d use to describe my style
Mine are classic, biblical, timeless, kind of cottagecore.
I’ve always had a hard time describing this!
I would say multicultural, with a long history, elegant yet grounded. A lot of my favorites are masculine names ending in -a and feminine names ending in -o. I mostly choose favorite names based on sound, so I’m not sure that I have a very cohesive style.
