I was thinking of doing this myself, but this is more fun… I see some of my names here which made it easier for me. Sorry about [name]Odysseus[/name].
[name]Eli[/name] – He’s an old soul, sometimes he even behaves like an old man. He gets up early in the morning, makes a cup of tea, listens to the radio while flipping through the newspaper. He likes riding his bicycle to the university where he studies mathematics, always stops in the park to feed the birds. He wears second hand suits in brown /beige/grey colours, and fancy scarves. His favourite book is The Old [name]Man[/name] and the Sea by [name]Hemingway[/name].
[name]Evander[/name] – [name]Evander[/name]’s wanderer, explorer, a free spirit. He’s fascinating and weird, no one really know him. He’s a writer, a poet, he drives a motorcycle along the coasts of [name]Italy[/name] and [name]France[/name], he lures helpless girls and boys in only to leave them broken hearted when he goes on to the next big thing. Annoyingly charming with a big heart, but his wanderlust is too great ever to let him stay in one place for too long. He makes fantastic bloody marys he’s more than willing to trade for some saucy stories on his path.
[name]Frost[/name] – His parents lived on Svalbard when he was born, and they thought his world forever would be frost and white snow. When [name]Frost[/name] was two they bought a house in [name]Sardinia[/name] and opened a sweet little hotel. [name]Frost[/name] has yellow hair, tanned skin, the biggest smile imaginable and rosy rosy cheeks. Such a little ray of sunshine, the name just makes him even cuter.
[name]Gabriel[/name] – Serious and sweet. [name]Gabriel[/name] is a bit depressed, just enough to get the girls going. He’s a very good listener, he grew up in a tiny crooked house with his mummy and little sister and five cats. He becomes a psychiatrist when he’s properly grown up.
[name]Hawthorne[/name] – [name]Hawthorne[/name] is a bicycle artist. He’s worked as everything under the sun, but this Is what makes him happy. He builds unique bikes and paints them in the loveliest colours and patterns. Dude is loaded.
[name]Henry[/name] – He’s obsessed with nineteenth century literature and astronomy. He has a huge old telescope on the roof of his building where he likes to spend his nights. He brings his dates here. He’s dashing, dresses in vintage clothing, lots of velvet and tweed and quotes [name]Jane[/name] [name]Austen[/name] to the swooning girls.
[name]Magnus[/name] – Undeniably sexy. He’s a bit of a nerd, which only makes it more intense. He’s a mathematician, has a very nice flat where he lives with his son and his cat Mousie. He reads The Economist and Intelligent Life, watches documentaries and has serial relationships with beautiful women.
[name]Malachi[/name] – He grew up in a small village in the north, his family didn’t own a tv, so in the evening they would sit sound the table knitting jumper s and carpets. He soon became fascinated with the loom, and is a skilled weaver. Inside his home is even a greenhouse with beautiful plants, and he’s got three lovely little birds flying around singing.
[name]Melchior[/name] – He loves the water, he lives on a houseboat on the [name]Thames[/name] where he can feel the water move constantly. He works in a rustic little café that makes the best coffee in town. He’s a bit shabby, but not necessarily in a bad way. His clothes are kind of always half way on, sometimes inside out and never socks from the same pair. He reads constantly, he loves apples, oranges and cocoa. He’s got a real flair for getting people the perfect gifts.
[name]Nicholas[/name] – I know one very well and he’s tattooed in my mind.
[name]North[/name] – Lives on a farm that breed [name]Black[/name] Welsh Mountain sheep. He loves sheep and their big beautiful sheepdog, but he wants to see the world, not just the remote corner of [name]Wales[/name] he’s lived in all his life.
Odyssey – [name]Odysseus[/name]? Sexy sexy sexy and oh so beautiful … I just watched [name]Troy[/name], I don’t have anything else to say… I can give it a go… ehm, nope. All I see is [name]Sean[/name] with the lovely big grin and curly hair.
[name]Orion[/name] – The most beautiful boy in the world, he’s pale skin and bright blue eyes makes everyone fall in love with him. [name]Orion[/name]’s only love is nature, he takes his sheepdog, rifle and his walking stick and wanders through the woodlands. He makes a very tasty rabbit stew. At night he lays awake staring into the sky, wishing everything was as clear and glorious as the starry starry skies.
[name]Peregrine[/name] – He has a pack of faithful followers who would walk through fire for him. He’s the coolest, he knows all the cult novels and the hippest underground indie bands. All the undergrad girls lust after him, but he’s heavily involved with his French literature professor and never looks at anyone else. He smokes and drinks too much for his lithe body and very young years.
Polaris – Quirky and fun. Polaris throws pretty sensational parties with lots of balloons and gypsy music and as much champagne as you can drink in his gorgeous house by the sea. He believes in ghosts and spirits, which is why he had to build his own house, he was haunted everywhere else, poor bugger.
Remiel – A puzzle. A puzzle lover. He loves to puzzle with things. He’s heartbreakingly gorgeous, his ice blue eyes looks right through you straight into your soul. He plays the piano and the lute, and he makes lovely music that reminds you of early birdsong, summer rain and tiny waterfalls in the mountains. His voice is clear like a winter’s day. He collects glass birds and hangs them in his windows in beautiful silken threads.
[name]River[/name] – The hippie child, the eternal dreamer! [name]River[/name] can run like the wind, jumping and dancing. His best friend is his teddy bear, he adores balloons and ice cream is his favourite food.
[name]Roman[/name] – His favourite thing is building tree houses with his friends. He loves the trees, the fresh clean air, the bright green leaves in spring, the yellow,red and brown in autumn. He’s an artist, a painter, unsuccessful so he has a house painting company on the side.
[name]Rowan[/name] – [name]Rowan[/name] is dangerous. Or, rather, he looks dangerous. He’s got heavy lidded eyes, he’s never properly shaven, half long curly black hair tied into a ponytail with a piece of leather. He works in a crooked little antique shop where everything is on top of each other and impossible to find. He plays Ilyas [name]Ahmed[/name] and [name]Fredo[/name] [name]Viola[/name], drinks absinth like water and smells deliciously of rose and coffee.
[name]Seth[/name] – Starting dancing ballet when he was four and never stopped. He’s exceptional on the stage, his dancing can bring tears to the audience’s eyes. He’s not very handsome, but the dancing makes him irresistible.
[name]Silver[/name] – [name]Silver[/name] lives in an abandoned light house in Cornwall. He eats toast with marmite and drinks tea with too much milk in it. He has an Irish setter he brings with him on long walks along the water’s edge, over cliffs, and sometimes out in his little boat. In the evening he lights lots of candles, curls up in the big armchair under lots of blankets and reads old dusty books by the fireplace.
[name]Sirius[/name] – You’ll find him in the rivers, fishing. He loves solitude and calm, he’s not exactly antisocial, but he loves being on his own, with his own thoughts. That, or [name]Sirius[/name] [name]Black[/name].
[name]Sparrow[/name] – [name]Sparrow[/name] is [name]Reverie[/name]’s fire eater boyfriend. He rarely wears anything on his upper body, maybe an open shirt. [name]Sparrow[/name]’s wicked fun and he knows how to tango, he has a big smile, wild wavy blonde hair and twinkling eyes. When he smiled at [name]Reverie[/name] from the other side of the fruit stand her heart melted and decided there and then to run away with him. Can you blame her?
Swift – The sweet boy with the bad boy image, he has a car the teenage girls mother’s really don’t want them to go in… but they go anyway. He has a beautiful old leather jacket, and shiny blonde hair. He looks like sweet summer love, and smells like fresh mowed grass mixed with tobacco.
[name]Titus[/name] – The new star on the football team this season, a young brute. His parents wanted a name that would show the world power. [name]Titus[/name] hopes he’ll be the next [name]Wayne[/name] [name]Rooney[/name].
[name]Tobias[/name] - I know one. He is really super intelligent (three masters, one ph.d.) and charming.
[name]Wolfe[/name] – Sexy and stylish, [name]Wolfe[/name] thinks he is a little cooler than all the other guys. He’s in the seminary, focusing all his energy on the lord. He secretly reads [name]Henry[/name] [name]Miller[/name] and [name]Ana[/name]ïs [name]Nin[/name], hoping no one will discover him.
Vetiver – A tattoo artist. He has a dodgy little tattoo studio in a dodgy little alley behind a nightclub and up some stairs in [name]Soho[/name]. He’s gorgeous with his long dark hair, heavily tattooed arms and pierced nose and lip. He’s a chain smoker, always a beer in his hand. There’s a [name]Damien[/name] [name]HIrst[/name] on the wall, and he’s got very worn out copies of Infinite Jest and Atomised on his desk.
Can’t really say what boy comes to mind, but I’ll give opinions
and you’re right, I appear to have a thing for wintry names. I definitely see what you mean about Odyssey getting the nickname Odd…that’s no good. [name]Nicholas[/name] and [name]Gabriel[/name] ARE very popular for my usual taste. Thank you for your feedback, particularly your comments on Swift, [name]Titus[/name], [name]Magnus[/name], [name]Silver[/name] and [name]Sparrow[/name], those are helpful to me. Vetiver is a wonderful richly earthy smelling herb used in aromatherapy and herbal medicine. With a scent similar to sandalwood and patchouli, it definitely invokes a masculine woodsy vibe.
That would be loads of fun…we’re like the imagery twins or something!
