I found out my husband’s grandfather’s mother’s name was Roycie.
[name_m]How[/name_m] would you honor a Roycie?
I’m not exactly fond of Roycie, but maybe you berries could give me ideas?
Thank you!
Anyone? Bump.
The first thought I had was that you could name a boy [name_u]Royce[/name_u] or [name_u]Roy[/name_u] (first or middle name).
Other than that (and these are all bigger stretches than that), you could use a girl name that ends in “-cie” - [name_f]Darcie[/name_f] comes to mind first.
Maybe [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] or [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] with the nick name Roycie may work.
[name_f]Rosie[/name_f] - sounds the same except for swapping the “oy” sound for an “o” sound.
I second [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]!
After I posted this I looked up [name_u]Royce[/name_u] on behindthename.com and it said [name_u]Royce[/name_u] is a surname name and is a variant of [name_f]Rose[/name_f]!
Thanks for all the replies. I think I have my name to honor Roycie - [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]!
