[name]How[/name] would you pronounce Amatis? I came across it in a book, but can’t find its meaning or decide how it’d sound aloud. Would you say it like [name]Amabel[/name] ([name]Ah[/name]-mah-bell), or differently?
Upon seeing this name, I immediately thought it would be pronounced as: ‘[name]Ah[/name]-mah-tiss’.
[name]LOVE[/name] the name [name]Marina[/name], by the way, saw it in your signature! 
I instinctively said AH-mah-tiss, however, on second glance I said ah-mah-TEES, and I must say, I like that a lot better!
At first glance I’d say “AM-mah-tiss”, almost sounds like [name]Amethyst[/name]. But I know a male Amati “uh-MAW-tee” so it maybe “uh-MAW-tees”
I said ah-mah-tiss and I dislike the sound.
I though [name]Amma[/name]-tis. It’s OK, but If pronounced the way I said it I almost feel like it needs a ‘sa’ on the end - Amatissa. But even that I don’t love…
