How would you pronounce Edelie and wdyt of it?

I came across this name searching for ways besides [name_f]Edith[/name_f] to get to [name_f]Edie[/name_f] nick name. My first thought would be ee-da-lee, but I also could see eh-da-lee and ee-da-lye or eh-da-lye. Wondering what you guys would say if you saw this name on your kindergarten roster

I’d pronounce it eh-deh-lee. I think it’s a nice name, but quite unusual; I’ve never heard of it before. All in all, I like it!

Eh-deh-lee! I didn’t even think of that one. I like that pronunciation.

Same as PP. I find it clunky though.

Like [name_f]Edeline[/name_f] except with a [name_u]LEE[/name_u] ending instead of [name_f]LINE[/name_f] or LEEN ending.

ed-ə-lee

I would say it like ee-duh-lee, but eh-duh-lee makes sense too.

I would say EH-deh-lee
I’m in love with nn [name_m]Edel[/name_m] (EH-del) so I really like this but I prefer [name_f]Edelynn[/name_f]/[name_f]Edeline[/name_f]/Edelyn

[name_m]Ed[/name_m]-uh-lee. I don’t like the “ed” part. What about [name_f]Adelie[/name_f]?

I would say “[name_m]ED[/name_m]-uh-lee.” I like it.

I’d pronounce it eh-duh-lee - I absolutely love it! I’ve always liked to sound of names like [name_f]Adeline[/name_f] but not liked their popularity or the potentialy for the ‘line’ pronunciation rather than the softer ‘leen’. [name_f]Edelie[/name_f] is wonderful. It reminds me a little of Edelweiss, the flower and song from the Sound of [name_f]Music[/name_f], which is a sweet but not overbearing connection.

I’d say eh-del-lee, kind of like [name_u]Adel[/name_u]-ee. Surprisingly, I like it. Since it’s uncommon, pronunciation would be an issue. I could see it pronounce several ways. But that’s not a huge deal (I’ve spent and will continue to spend my whole life correcting my name).
