How would you pronounce Emme?

I’ve been wondering how to pronounce this for awhile; do you say em-ee, em or something else? When I first saw it I pronounced it as ‘em’ but now I’m not too sure.

I would pronounce it like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]. [name_f]Em[/name_f]-mee

I’d pronounce it as [name_f]Em[/name_f], not sure on what is really ‘‘correct’’ though.

I’d say [name_f]Emmie[/name_f] / [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]. But [name_f]Em[/name_f]-may might be legit too, I’m not sure.

I know an [name_f]Emme[/name_f]! She pronounces it with two syllables, [name_f]Em[/name_f]-ee.

I would pronounce it [name_f]Emmy[/name_f].

M-E. Like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]/[name_f]Emmie[/name_f].

I’ve never met an [name_f]Emme[/name_f]. I would guess it’s pronounced either like [name_f]Em[/name_f] or [name_f]Emmy[/name_f].

I’d pronounce it like [name_f]Emmie[/name_f].

Either like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] or [name_f]Em[/name_f].

[name_f]Em[/name_f]-ee. A really lovely name. I also like the spelling [name_f]Emie[/name_f].

[name_m]Just[/name_m] like the alphabet M, ‘em’. Because, m-e or ‘em-ee’ is a really really bad insulting word in my country. It is a bad word for mom and no one believed me when I told the class there’s [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] Award and an actress called [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] Rossum. If I say ‘em-ee’, my friends would think I insulted their mom.

I’ve always pronounced it like the letter M too, I wasn’t even aware of the other pronunciations. I can see how it could be pronounced [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] though, just like how [name_f]Bette[/name_f] can be pronounced [name_f]Betty[/name_f]. I like either pronunciation.

I would pronounce it like [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] ([name_f]Em[/name_f]-mee).

I think either “em” or “em-ee”, most likely the latter.

I’ve always pronounced [name_f]Emme[/name_f] the same as [name_f]Emmy[/name_f].

[name_m]Just[/name_m] like [name_f]Emmie[/name_f].

Probably [name_f]Emmy[/name_f].

Yes, the same as [name_f]Emmy[/name_f]/[name_f]Emmie[/name_f].

I’d pronounce it [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] but honestly I want to say it [name_f]EM[/name_f]-eh in my head.
