Leev-eh. It strikes me as Dutch which is why I assume it’s pronounced this way.

[name_u]Lee[/name_u]-ehv definitely

It reminded me of [name_f]Nieve[/name_f] and Marieve so my instinct was [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-EV. Pretty.

[name_u]Lee[/name_u]-EHV-eh.
What’s the correct pronounciation?

I would say lee-ev, like [name_m]Liev[/name_m] Schreiber

[name_u]Lee[/name_u]-Ehv, as in [name_m]Liev[/name_m] Shriber, but an alternate spelling

I would [name_u]LOVE[/name_u] to name my son [name_m]Liev[/name_m] but I only like it pronounced as when it rhymes with Kiev. Sadly I think most would pronounce it Leave.

I say it like “leave” but that’s probably wrong.

I say it like “leave” because I think of “[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f],” which I pronounce “jen-uh-veev.”

At first I thought as in the word Leave, also rhyming with [name_f]Nieve[/name_f].

then I kind of thought Lie-eev - as if it were spelt with an Lïeve. It looks pretty

I would say lie-vee, but I’ve never heard of this name before, so this is just my first reaction.

Thanks for all the responses! I think because this is a Dutch name the pronunciation would be Leev-eh (in Dutch at least).

I prefer the [name_u]Lee[/name_u]-ev pronunciation personally, but I bet the majority of people would just pronounce it as Leev (like relieve or believe), which I’m not a fan of. I also don’t like that there are at least five different possible pronunciations! It would be annoying to have to keep correcting people on my preferred way to say it, lol.
