Anyways, [name_m]Ive[/name_m] had this bugging me for a while. [name_m]How[/name_m] would you pronounce the name Alaniah? I want to immediately say ah-lan-ah. But then the “I” in there throws me off. So… [name_m]How[/name_m] would you say it?

Well, I would assume Alaniah was a twist on [name_f]Alannah[/name_f]/[name_f]Alana[/name_f], however, there are two ways to pronounce those:

[name_m]Ah[/name_m]-law-nah (like my middle name)
or
[name_m]Al[/name_m]-anne-ah

Instinctively, I would say [name_m]Ah[/name_m]-law-nye-ah, because of my middle name, but it could be [name_m]Al[/name_m]-awn-nee-ah or [name_m]Al[/name_m]-anne-ee-ah too. I think I prefer [name_m]Al[/name_m]-anne-ee-ah though. Sorry if that wasn’t much help!

After staring for a bit, I would guess uh-la-[name_m]NYE[/name_m]-uh. I’ve never seen it. I definitely thought it was [name_f]Alana[/name_f] at first.

I’d guess ‘a-LAN-ee-a’. I much prefer [name_f]Alannah[/name_f].

First instinct was uh-LAH-nee-uh, but after reading it again, it sorta started to look like ah-lah-[name_m]NYE[/name_m]-uh.
