I have held adulation for the name [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] for a long time. I prefer this spelling, because it seems more original and the other spellings seem too Americanized. However, the [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] form has reached #510 and seems to be trending upward while [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] isn’t in the top 1000. Would [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] be easier to spell and pronounce? I’m from the U.S.
Go with what spelling you love, both are easy to spell and pronounce (they’re pretty straightforward). I have [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] on my list but only because I dislike [name_f]Anne[/name_f], otherwise I would go with [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]. I also had [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f] on my list if it helps.
I personally prefer [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]. I agree that it is a more classic feel. I think anyone could assume the pronunciation of that.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] feels most natural to me. You will probably have to clarify the spelling for people either way, so you may as well go for this one. Being in the 500s, I don’t think [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is popular enough yet for people to default to that spelling.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] feels most natural to me, but [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] is becoming just as standard of a spelling. I think either one would be ok and depends on taste.
[name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is how I would assume it was spelled if I heard “[name_f]Annalise[/name_f]” spoken. I am also in the US.
I prefer [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]. In fact, this was how I presumed the name was spelt. I had not seen any other variations until I joined NB.
[name_f]Annalise[/name_f] just looks kinda made up and trendy to me. [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] is has a much more classic feel in my opinion. I love the name btw.
For me, it would depend on how you want the name to be pronounced. If you want [name_f]Anna[/name_f]+[name_u]Lisa[/name_u], then I would go with either the proper [name_m]German[/name_m] spelling of [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or the more phonetic [name_f]Annalisa[/name_f]. However, if you want [name_f]Anna[/name_f]+[name_f]Leese[/name_f], then I would spell it [name_f]Annalise[/name_f] (or other similar-looking spellings).
I prefer [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f], it kind of looks like the right spelling to me (even though I know there are loads of valid ones). I just dislike any of the variantions with a second ‘a’ since I just can’t unsee ‘anal’ (sorry any [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]/[name_f]Annaliese[/name_f]/[name_f]Analise[/name_f] lovers). I love [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]!
I prefer classic spellings so [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f] or [name_f]Annelise[/name_f].
I much prefer [name_f]Annalise[/name_f]. Its one of my top names and I just think its the easiest way of spelling it. I always get mixed up where the i’s and e’s go in [name_f]Anneliese[/name_f]. Also I love the name [name_f]Anna[/name_f] and its a nice way to get to that
