I love names that can have nicknames and also are out of the top 100. Beautiful names with nicknames are my preference. how does my list look, thoughts? Also, any additional ones you think my fit my style? My daughter is [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Kate[/name]. So something that goes good with [name]Aurora[/name] too!
I love [name]Anastasia[/name], but it is semi-close to [name]Aurora[/name], and would that pressure you into all A’s?
[name]Magnolia[/name] is wonderful, maybe with the nickname [name]Maggie[/name]? [name]Do[/name] you have any middle name ideas?
[name]Primrose[/name] is very Hunger Games-ish, would that bother you? I love [name]Eliza[/name] and [name]Eugenia[/name], but I’m interested in what nicknames you would have for [name]Eugenia[/name]. (The only one I can come up with is Skeeter, from the Help, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the name itself)
[name]Florence[/name] is interesting as well, maybe with nickname [name]Flora[/name]?
EDIT: How about Audra? I’m not sure if it would go well with Aurora, as they are very close, but it might fit your style. And maybe Genevieve or Cecilia?
For middle names we are considering: any of the first names plus Jane, Kelly, Rebecca (all family names).
Anastasia being an “A” name doesn’t bother me…Ana and Aurora would go well together. Isn’t too matchy matchy…
Primrose being from hunger games does not bother me at all, I don’t see it ever breaking top 100 and one day hunger games will be a thing of the past.
Eliza and Eugenia - no nicknames for them, but we love them so much anyways!
Florence would be NN Flora, but for Aurora we tend to call her “Rora” even though we planned to call her Rory. But we could try harder at Rory.
Cecilia is a nice name, I have considered that and do really like it.
Right now we really are leaning towards “Magnolia Jane” and “Primrose Rebecca”.
We have awhile to decide (if we are even having a girl) but with DD it took us forever to decide! And i’m glad we fully thought about her name, because we love it!
I love [name]Magnolia[/name] [name]Jane[/name]! It goes really well with [name]Aurora[/name] [name]Kate[/name], too. A longer, not as comman first name, and a shorter middle name. [name]Primrose[/name] [name]Rebecca[/name] is beautiful, too!
And I totally know what you mean about taking a while to decide. We still don’t know what we’re having (at 36 weeks!) and are still trying to come up with a name!
Out of all of them, I like [name]Imogene[/name] or [name]Primrose[/name] the best. [name]Imogene[/name] sounds gorgeous with [name]Aurora[/name], too. [name]Primrose[/name] sounds really good too with it. I really like sibsets where as few sounds are shared as possible, and a lot of your other names share too much sound-wise with [name]Aurora[/name] for my taste. Pomeline doesn’t though, it’s nms but it sounds very complimentary. [name]Magnolia[/name] also isn’t too clashy, though two -a ending names might bother me a little.
