Hubby does NOT like Lif, but I'm stuck on it!

Lif is one of my favorite girls’ names. It’s Norwegian and I love that because my dad’s family originated from Norway, but my SO absolutely hates it. He doesn’t even want to compromise it for a mn. I need some help choosing something similar! Maybe not in sound, but meaning or origin? Obviously, it means life :slight_smile:

[name]Liv[/name] was my first thought, as well. [name]Linnea[/name] is another lovely idea. I think perhaps [name]Lydia[/name]/[name]Lydie[/name] could work, as well, or [name]Livia[/name]/Liviana/[name]Olivia[/name]/[name]Olive[/name]/Livienne?

I’ve always liked [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name], though I’ve never given it a chance, is really cute too! I had to say it out loud a few times lol thanks! I’m gonna have to make a new list of subsitutes!

Well [name]Zoe[/name] means life too and I am pretty sure that your DH would like [name]Zoe[/name].

I love the suggestion of [name]Linnea[/name] she is just gorgeous.

Another Scandinavian name that is pretty is [name]Elin[/name] or the English [name]Ellen[/name].
