Huck help!

So I am in love with the name [name]Huck[/name], but not [name]Huckleberry[/name]. And my husband is adamantly opposed to naming a child a nickname (I respectfully disagree…). So, can anyone think of a “long form” of the name [name]Huck[/name] that isn’t either [name]Huckleberry[/name], or [name]Charles[/name] (that was the best I could come up with but we already have a [name]Charles[/name] in the family)?

What about [name]Huxley[/name]? That’s the only other name I could think of.

i’m always drawn to names inspired by the wild west. i was just looking at buck today thinking how much i love it!! not sure if that appeals to you or hubby???

[name]Huxley[/name] was my first thought as well. Also there is Huxford/Huxeford.

I know of 2 people that recently named their babies [name]Henry[/name], nicknamed [name]Huck[/name]! That would definitely be my choice- [name]Henry[/name] is such a classy name, and [name]Huck[/name] is such a fun nickname!

[name]Huxley[/name], Huxford and Huxton were the best I could come up with, but I love the suggestion of [name]Henry[/name]!

I know someone with a [name]Henry[/name] that they call [name]Huck[/name], and I think it’s the perfect way to go about it! [name]Huxley[/name] is a nice name, too. Would you consider doing a [name]Paisley[/name] on it {[name]Brad[/name] [name]Paisley[/name] and [name]Kimberly[/name] [name]Williams[/name]-[name]Paisley[/name] did this with their son, I am so very lame} and put [name]Huckleberry[/name] as a middle name, and call him [name]Huck[/name]? That way you satisfy your husband’s desire for a non-nickname first name.

[name]Hugh[/name] or [name]Hugo[/name] or [name]Hudson[/name] or [name]Tucker[/name] comes to mind. But you want to be careful in encouraging creative nicknames for [name]Tucker[/name] : D.

I know 2 Hucks, one whose full name is [name]Howell[/name], the other whose full name is [name]Hawthorne[/name].

I think Henry with the nickname Huck is a great idea. You could also use a name beginning with ‘hu’ and a middle name beginning with ‘c’ as a way to get Huck.
