So we’re still considering [name]Huxley[/name] for our son, but still deciding what nickname we would use. I think I like [name]Huck[/name] better, but I don’t think it flows well with our last name. Not sure what the policy is here on posting last names, but I’ll put it this way: we have a one-syllable last name that starts with a ‘V’ and rhymes with “honk.”
[name]Huxley[/name], in my opinion, flows nicely with our last name. Depending on how much he would end up using a nickname, though, I feel like we should place some importance on how those sound if used alone with the last name. What do you think? [name]Do[/name] you like [name]Huck[/name] or Hux better in general? What about with our last name?
I like [name]Huck[/name] better than [name]Huxley[/name], but I see what you mean. I think [name]Huxley[/name] flows better with your last name. Maybe you should consider picking its a middle name and finding a name you love to fill the first name spot. Otherwise I’d say [name]Huxley[/name] is a go, good luck and congratulations!
I love [name]Huxley[/name]. It’s very cool and has great literary cred. As Hux is actually part of the name (and no CK in there), I would advise going with Hux, which I think sounds cooler and fresher anyway. Also, I think they both sound a bit awkward with your last name, though Hux maybe a bit less because the X doesn’t blend as badly as the CK sound.
I think you should just stick with [name]Huxley[/name]. Hux isn’t very attractive on its own and [name]Huck[/name] rhymes with a bad word as does your surname (“bonk”). [name]Huxley[/name] definitely sounds the least likely name for potential teasing.
I love the name [name]Huxley[/name] so much! It’s definitely on my top boy name list! I think Hux is attractive. If I were to name my son [name]Huxley[/name] I would call him Hux.
