Hudson Alexander or Baxter James

We have reasons for both…

[name]Hudson[/name] (I’m from the east coast NY/NJ)
[name]Alexander[/name] (my husband is from [name]Alexander[/name] [name]Valley[/name] in [name]Sonoma[/name] [name]CA[/name]) …we don’t live in either place at the moment.

[name]Baxter[/name] (family name is Baxman but I feel this isn’t good for a first name)
[name]James[/name] (my husbands name)

I like the nn [name]Bax[/name] over Hud or Huddy, but the reactions I’ve received to [name]Baxter[/name] so far have NOT been favorable. However, at #112 and rising I would hate for [name]Hudson[/name] to be as popular as [name]Mason[/name] in the next few years.

Thoughts?

I really really like [name]Hudson[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], it’s strong and handsome. While I think that [name]Hudson[/name] is going to get more popular, I really don’t think it will ever be a top 10 name. If I’m going to be honest about [name]Baxter[/name], it reminds me of a bad word… I’d be worried about teasing with that one.

Wow, that is definitely not the direction my brain went with [name]Baxter[/name]. Honestly, that is not a huge concern for me.

[name]Hudson[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] is great and my guess is that it will be moderately popular but nothing in the league of [name]Jack[/name] and [name]Emily[/name].

Theoretically [name]Baxter[/name] is a good match with [name]Hudson[/name] but I feel that I would be the luckier twin with the name [name]Hudson[/name].

I like [name]Saxon[/name] a LOT and I think [name]Hudson[/name] and [name]Saxon[/name] make a good pair.

Here are a few names that would fit with [name]Hudson[/name]

[name]Bennett[/name]
[name]Declan[/name]
[name]Connor[/name]
[name]Wilder[/name]
[name]Ryder[/name]

[name]Miles[/name]
[name]Lachlan[/name]
[name]Orion[/name]
[name]Dylan[/name]
[name]Beckett[/name]
[name]Beau[/name]

While I would love twins, I am just having one! So it’s [name]Hudson[/name] OR [name]Baxter[/name].

I like [name]Hudson[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]! [name]Both[/name] place names close to you and your husband.

I like [name]Hudson[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] best of the two.

Congrats on your boy!

[name]Hudson[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] definitely gets my vote. I can see what people mean about [name]Baxter[/name] sounding like a bad word, and the more I say it, the more I think you should avoid it.

[name]Hudson[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] gets my vote!

Definitely [name]Hudson[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]. I don’t like [name]Baxter[/name] at all, sorry.

Sorry I obviously needed some more coffee to wake me up this morning. [name]Hope[/name] my comments that made sense helped!

rollo

I actually like [name]Baxter[/name] I have no idea what bad word people are hearing when they say it. I think both are great choices though. [name]Hudson[/name] is getting popular (i know a 2 year old and an infant with that name) if that bothers you. Congratulations and I know you will make the right choice.

I’m actually suprised at the lack of love for [name]Baxter[/name]! Thanks sweetpeacelove!

We considered [name]Hudson[/name] with the nickname [name]Huck[/name]. Thought I would throw it out there since you said you don’t like Hud/Huddy.

We ultimately crossed it off for the same reason its on yours. My husband is from upstate NY and said “all I think is dirty river” :frowning:

[name]True[/name]…it would be awkward if we ever moved back.

I’m from NY, and [name]Hudson[/name] IS becoming pretty popular here. But it’s beautiful, and the nickname [name]Huck[/name] is just to die for.
I like [name]Baxter[/name]. I think it’s awkward-cool, like [name]Alvin[/name], or [name]Roger[/name].
Hm Baxman…
[name]Daxton[/name]? [name]Paxton[/name]?
[name]Bowman[/name] nn [name]Beau[/name]/[name]Bo[/name]?
or [name]Benjamin[/name]? Ok it’s a stretch, but such a sweet name.
