Hudson or Roman?

My husband and I are down to two names for our new little boy, whose middle name will be [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] – for my father, who died very unexpectedly earlier this year (he was 60). [name_u]Lynn[/name_u] was my great-grandfather’s name as well, but we realize it’s much more common as a girl’s name. We like these two first-name picks for multiple reasons, not the least of which is their (to us) inherent boy-ness.

We don’t particularly like nicknames and believe in naming a child what he will be called.

Our last name is one syllable, starts with an “H” and ends with a “k”. This new person has an older brother, named [name_u]Dane[/name_u].

Thanks in advance for your opinions and input!

[name_f]One[/name_f] week to due date. …

I think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] sounds gorgeous with [name_u]Dane[/name_u]. It’s nice that his middle name will have meaning

I much prefer [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
My grandfathers name is [name_f]Lin[/name_f] (this spelling) as well, so I understand about it being a male name commonly used on females.
