Hey there! Our son’s name is [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] and we are expecting another little boy in [name_u]July[/name_u]. Looking for opinions on our name list below… and if there’s one you like middle name suggestions! (Our last name ends in ER so I don’t want a name that ends in that)
Hudson [name_u]James[/name_u] is great! From your list, I adore [name_m]Graham[/name_m]–to me it feels like the perfect balance of warm and gentle yet strong and grounded. I love the way it sounds with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]; they fit together naturally, but each have their own sound and personality. Perfect for brothers, imo! And I think it would pair really well with lots of the other names on your list as middles–[name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Jensen[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Hayes[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u], etc. You have a wonderful list here, though! [name_f]My[/name_f] runner-up favorites are probably [name_u]Jensen[/name_u] and [name_u]Hayes[/name_u], but I don’t love them quite as much with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
Hudson [name_u]James[/name_u] is so beautiful! Soft sounding, but strong and handsome.
I love the sound of [name_m]Graham[/name_m] (seconding everything @dandy_orchid said), and my other favourite from your list would be [name_u]Blake[/name_u].
You have so many names I love on your list so I can’t just choose one but favourites are…
Pierce (slightly prefer [name_m]Piers[/name_m] as it sounds softer)
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] ([name_u]Blake[/name_u] would also make a great middle name for some of these)
[name_m]Gibson[/name_m]
[name_u]Jensen[/name_u]
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]
[name_u]Easton[/name_u]
Great list of names. However, I think [name_u]Houston[/name_u] and [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] are a bit too close in sound. [name_m]Gibson[/name_m] might also be a bit close with the same “son” ending…
My favorite from the list is [name_m]Graham[/name_m]. Maybe [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Hayes[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_u]Scott[/name_u], [name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]
I really like [name_m]Graham[/name_m], [name_m]Pierce[/name_m], and [name_u]Jensen[/name_u]! I also like [name_u]Hayes[/name_u] and [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u] but personally I don’t love repeated initials.
With brother [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] I’d say [name_m]Graham[/name_m] is far and away my favorite on your list. It just feels so right. It’s well balanced, familiar but not too popular, and just gives me a warm and grounded vibe similar to [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. Do you pronounce it like gram or like gray-um? While gray-um is my personal preference my opinion of the name here is just as enthusiastic if your pronunciation preference is gram.
My feelings regarding the rest of your list:
• [name_u]Houston[/name_u], [name_m]Gibson[/name_m], and [name_u]Jensen[/name_u] feel a little too similar to [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
• [name_u]Easton[/name_u], [name_u]Madden[/name_u], and [name_u]Hendrix[/name_u] teeter on that line of kinda matchy but not unusable.
• I think that like [name_m]Graham[/name_m] the names [name_u]Blake[/name_u], [name_m]Pierce[/name_m], and [name_u]Hayes[/name_u] feel like they fit the vibe of [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] while still being distinct from their brother’s name. I’m not usually a fan of matching initials for siblings but I think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] and [name_u]Hayes[/name_u] are distinguishable enough from each other as to be a very workable pairing.
They really go well with [name_u]Hudson[/name_u]’s surname-name, masculine vibe without being matchy.
Middle name options that you might like include:
[name_m]Dominic[/name_m]
[name_m]Gregory[/name_m]
[name_m]Gordon[/name_m]
[name_m]Paul[/name_m]
[name_m]Calvin[/name_m]
[name_m]Warren[/name_m]
[name_u]Gabriel[/name_u]
I think [name_u]Hayes[/name_u] is such a lovely name with a cool surname first name vibe. He also has this cool outdoorsy vibe feels like a character from an novel it’s just a great name. I think [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] & [name_u]Hayes[/name_u] would be lovely together. I think the only downside is that it could be limiting using another ‘h’ name if you were to name future children. Personally if you were to have another child I would use another ‘h’ name so the sibling set flows. If this is a concern for you my next choice from your list would be [name_u]Easton[/name_u] or [name_u]Blake[/name_u]. Also going to suggest [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] & [name_m]Wells[/name_m] as potential choices they are nice names that could work as a brother for [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
I’m not sure if you like [name_u]Brooks[/name_u] or [name_m]Wells[/name_m] but if you do here are some middle names you may like for them!
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Laurence[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_m]Edward[/name_m]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_u]Callum[/name_u]
[name_u]Brooks[/name_u] [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m]
My top three from your list are
[name_m]Graham[/name_m] [name_m]Allan[/name_m] / [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]
[name_m]Pierce[/name_m] [name_u]Jensen[/name_u]
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] [name_u]Blake[/name_u]
