We have a reasonable list of likes, but these 3 seem to keep filling the top 3. Would love your opinions. [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is a family name we would like to use for a middle, but so far thinking it will only work with [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. Maybe too many R’s with the other 2?
I like all three, [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] being my own personal favourite.
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is the most romantic sounding of the three. It’s got vintage and cultured feel to it. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is probably intelligent and kind.
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is fun and bubbly, bright and on-trend (but not trendy!).
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] sounds like a real boys-boy. Sporty, funny and smart.
All of them paint a great picture… maybe one speaks to you a bit more?
As for the middle name, if you are not opposed to 2 middles, adding a 1 or 3 syllable name in between the fn and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] can solve the R issue with [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. It depends on your last name. If your last name is 1/2 syllable I would suggest adding in a 3 syllable name. E.g. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Finnegan[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Smith[/name_m]. Or if it’s 3 syllables: [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Zane[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Davidson[/name_m].

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is my favorite. Followed by [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] then [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. You may want to check your region because where I live there are a lot of toddlers named [name_m]Jasper[/name_m].
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is my personal favourite: [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] could be studious, cheeky, funny, kind, gentle, smart, sporty, anything really. I love the sound and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] rolls so nicely off the tongue. I really think [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is something special.
[name_m]Oscar[/name_m] comes second for me. NMS, but a fine name, I just have bad personal associations with it. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] really outshines it though, in my opinion.
[name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is my least favourite. I don’t know if this bothers you, but it is really really really trendy in my area, sort of the new [name_m]Jason[/name_m].
I probably wouldn’t combine [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] with [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] or [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], due to the similarity of the ending. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] sounds very spunky and sophisticated though- I love it!
I know what you mean about [name_m]Jasper[/name_m], we both really like it, but that is my main concern, it’s really quite popular right now which may make it quite dated in 20 years time.
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is my favorite of the three and I think [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] flows the best with it. [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] doesn’t flow the best but it could possibly work. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] I don’t think would work at all. The sounds are way to similar.
Great names, all three. But you are right that [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is the only one that works with [name_m]Arthur[/name_m]. Sounds like you have your name! [name_u]Emmett[/name_u] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] is another combo I like.
I like [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] best. Then [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], then [name_m]Jasper[/name_m]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] are on the rise where I am.

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is my favorite out of the bunch. That has really been growing on me lately. It’s strong, smart, unique, and cute sounding. It also matches with [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] the most. [name_m]Jasper[/name_m] is my 2nd favorite, it’s also cute sounding. [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] would be kind of cute if it weren’t for several Oscars from tv shows that weren’t so cute like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] the Grouch from [name_f]Sesame[/name_f] [name_m]Street[/name_m]. Still it sounds kind of trendy but matches with [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] the least.
I love your naming style. With [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] in the middle spot, I think [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is your best option. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] has a lot going for it: it has spunk, charm and an exotic European vibe.
