Hunter Alexander ??

[name]Hi[/name]! I wanted to get as many unbiased opinions as I can before making a final decision on a name. We are looking for a name that flows well and goes with our short last name. My hubby and I meet in the middle on [name]Hunter[/name] and he offered up this suggestion on the middle name( we want a classic middle). Does it make is strange that both first and middle end in -er???..Also, I saw some really mean comments on another site saying stuff like…“I dont see why anyone would name there child after an animal murderer!”…this did not cross my mind at ALL…What are your opinions and I am open to anyother suggestions…THanks a bunch!

I’m not a huge fan of [name]Hunter[/name]- like you I read the comments on another site.
But saying that

[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] is GORGEOUS!

[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Edward[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Theodore[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Oliver[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Francis[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Barnaby[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]George[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Joseph[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Reuben[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Bradley[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Emmett[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Emmanuel[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Ezekiel[/name]

[name]Hunter[/name] isn’t one of my faves but that said I think [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] sounds very handome. The two “er” sounds don’t bug me at all and honestly I don’t know what kind of people would think 1st of hunting. It isn’t some wackadoo thing you thought up - it’s a name!

I’m not a fan of [name]Hunter[/name], myself (it does make me think of hunting first and foremost) but if it’s something you and your Husband agreed on, then it’s alright with me. [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Alexander[/name] is a bit 'r’ish. It’s not awful, though but I really liked the suggestion of [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Edward[/name]! Dashing [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Edward[/name]!

Some other thoughts (sorry for repeats, I can’t easily check what’s already been said):
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]William[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Thomas[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Kenneth[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]John[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Frederick[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Judah[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Finlay[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Francis[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Henry[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Graham[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Raphael[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Gabriel[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Felix[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Julian[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Sebastian[/name]
[name]Hunter[/name] [name]Timothy[/name]

Anything there grab you?

[name]Hunter[/name] was on my short list of boys’ names when we named our first child, a son. My husband hated it. Actually he hated my whole list. So we came up with [name]Peter[/name] which is a little bit similar to [name]Hunter[/name] because it ends in “ter”. At the time, I thought of [name]Sebastian[/name] for [name]Peter[/name]'s middle name, but I also considered [name]Alexander[/name]. There’s a kind of famous artist named [name]Peter[/name] [name]Alexander[/name]. I think [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Edward[/name] sounds better than [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Alexander[/name], though. Hmmm…now that I’m older I’m glad I didn’t name my son [name]Hunter[/name] because now I really love classic names. [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Henry[/name] is really cute! Actually my favorite name for a boy today is [name]Joseph[/name]. [name]Hunter[/name] [name]Joseph[/name].

[name]Hunter[/name] is not one of my top choices but I do like it better than the other names my hubby likes. I like surname names and he likes traditional or non-surname names. [name]Holden[/name] was my first choice…his was [name]Caleb[/name]. Can anyone think of any good compromises??? I hate to give my son a name that I don’t just love…Thanks everyone who has offered suggestions…I am definitly reconsidering [name]Hunter[/name] but out of ideas at the moment. Please Help!

I Like [name]Caleb[/name] not so keen on [name]Holden[/name]

I just made a new list of occupational names. Have a look: There are some choices that are a little more unusual and don’t have the hunting motif – which is not the first thing I think of, but it’s undeniably there. [name]Miller[/name]? [name]Slater[/name]?

Some great compromise ideas there, butterfly. I especially like [name]Callum[/name], which does seem like the perfect compromise between [name]Holden[/name] and [name]Caleb[/name]. Brilliant!

I like both [name]Hunter[/name] and [name]Alexander[/name] but not together. I don’t like how they both end in -ER.

[name]Just[/name] a thought here: [name]Theron[/name] is Greek for hunter, it might work for you. It feels surnamey, thanks to [name]Charlize[/name] [name]Theron[/name]. So it might work for you?

I thought of [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Carsten[/name], [name]Owen[/name], [name]Zane[/name], and [name]Auden[/name]. I also really love [name]Jackson[/name] because it ends in the popular “en” sound, is a last name but also has the classic [name]Jack[/name] nickname. Great compromise name and I nearly used it for my son, but of course my husband didn’t like it. If I had really talked about it to him, he probably would have liked it okay, but it was important to me that my husband would adore our kids names because my dad hated my name. So I know it’s important to compromise with your spouse about names.

[name]Archer[/name] is a wonderful name that reminds me of [name]Hunter[/name], but the hunting meaning is a little more subtle. The nickname [name]Archie[/name] is vintage. I just love [name]Archie[/name] and [name]Archer[/name]!
Some other great three or four syllable, classic names for boys besides [name]Alexander[/name] are: [name]Maximillian[/name], [name]Cameron[/name], [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]Alistair[/name], [name]Finnian[/name], [name]Roderick[/name], [name]Peregrine[/name], [name]Timothy[/name], [name]Andreas[/name], [name]Simeon[/name], [name]Nicholas[/name], [name]Theodore[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], [name]Donovan[/name], and [name]Elias[/name]. There are some long biblical boys’ names like [name]Elijah[/name], [name]Isaiah[/name], and [name]Nathaniel[/name].
