We are pregnant with number three and are unsure if we are finding out the gender (I am 15 weeks). I can’t for the life of me think of names this time around, definitely at a stand still.
Our sons are [name]Greyson[/name] (4), and [name]Sebastian[/name] (22 months). They go by [name]Grey[/name] and [name]Seb[/name]/Sebby 90% of the time
Names we have so far (and none have middles! [name]Haven[/name]'t even gotten that far yet)-
Boys:
[name]August[/name]
[name]Samson[/name]- nn [name]Sonny[/name]
[name]Theo[/name]
[name]Julian[/name]
Girls:
[name]Elodie[/name]
[name]Juniper[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] (only one my DH agrees on)
[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]/[name]Cleo[/name]
I guess we would classify our style as a tad “hipster” and a tad “vintage”, with an emphasis on nicknames if the names are long since we have a [name]Grey[/name] and [name]Seb[/name]
I think all of your names work well with you sibset so you really can’t go to wrong. I would use [name]Theodore[/name] nn [name]Theo[/name] though as it is more similar to the way you use named his brothers. [name]Clementine[/name] nn [name]Cleo[/name] is really nice and fits your style well.
[name]Samson[/name] is the only name on your list I actively dislike, though I can’t give you a good reason why. Of your picks, I like [name]August[/name], [name]Julian[/name], and [name]Elodie[/name] best.
From your boys list I like: [name]August[/name] and [name]Samson[/name], they seem to fit well with [name]Greyson[/name] ([name]Grey[/name]) and [name]Sebastian[/name] ([name]Seb[/name])
From your girls list I like: [name]Stella[/name] and [name]Violet[/name] you could call her [name]Vi[/name].
The names you have are very lovely. [name]August[/name] and [name]Julian[/name] are my favorites for your list. I feel [name]Theo[/name] isn’t as strong compared to [name]Sebastian[/name] and [name]Greyson[/name], they overpower the name. [name]Samson[/name] is nice, but I feel like [name]Sammy[/name] or [name]Sam[/name] is a better nickname choice. I have a few suggestions: [name]Wolfgang[/name] with [name]Wolf[/name] or Wolfie as a NN and [name]Quentin[/name].
For the girls names, I really adore your choices. I really don’t have any suggestions. [name]Stella[/name] is the best choice.
Thanks everyone!
I really love [name]August[/name] and was vetoed for #2… Hoping I can swing it for #3. Although, he could be born in [name]August[/name]… Would it be strange to be named after the month you were born? I do like [name]Julian[/name] as well, and it has an -n ending just like [name]Grey[/name] & [name]Seb[/name].
I also am a fan of [name]Clementine[/name], is [name]Cleo[/name] an appropriate nickname? It’s almost like two names? [name]Elodie[/name] has been my top choice, I’m just not as in love with it as I’d like to be. Hopeful between now and [name]August[/name] we can think of a name that truly excites us!
While reading your post, I immediately thought of [name]August[/name]. I like [name]Stella[/name], [name]Clementine[/name], and [name]Violet[/name] from the girls list.
Personal opinion, of course, but I’ve always thought it would be strange to be given a month (or day or season) name and NOT be born in that time of year. An [name]August[/name] born in [name]August[/name] would be fine. I might scratch my head over an [name]August[/name] born in [name]March[/name].
