Husband and I can't seem to agree on a girl name....can you help?!

Hello All! I am new on here…well, new to posting anyway…but I have been checking out nameberry posts and articles for awhile now
So, to make a long story shorter…we are expecting our 5th precious little one in February and we have chosen not to find out the gender this time around!..we have 4 boys now… their names are [name]Trace[/name], [name]Kylan[/name], [name]Hudson[/name], and Truett. We have always pretty much decided pretty quickly on their names. Since we had our first son 7 years ago, our fav girl name has always been [name]Cora[/name]…[name]Cora[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], [name]Ruth[/name] after my Mom. I still love the name…but something has changed this time around and I just don’t have the same love for it as I once did. My husband doesn’t understand this and [name]Cora[/name] seems to be the only name he likes out of others I’ve suggested now. The name that I have really liked this time around is [name]Karis[/name], [name]Karis[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]. I am not sure he is going to go along with [name]Karis[/name] and though that makes me really sad, I do want to find a name that we both love obviously! I have searched name after name…a ton on here, as well as Nymbler and others to get ideas…but for some reason, we are stuck both loving different girl names!! :frowning: I thought I would reach out and ask all you name-pros which other names come to mind that we might both like? I tend to love more unique names…not too “out there” (though those are cool too…but hubby would never go for it!) but names that are more rarely heard and that will go with our boys names to a degree…
Thank you for any thoughts or options!!

Have you tried suggesting [name]Karis[/name] with with [name]Carys[/name] spelling? I just thought this might appeal to your husband more since it’s traditional and starts with a “C” (like [name]Cora[/name]).

I’m not sure what other names you’ve considered, but I’ll suggest a few anyway:
[name]Ciara[/name] (or a variant spelling)
[name]Corrine[/name]/[name]Corrina[/name]
[name]Callie[/name]/[name]Calla[/name]
[name]Clara[/name]
[name]Alma[/name]
[name]Harper[/name]
[name]Veda[/name]

[name]Sloane[/name]
[name]Dara[/name]
[name]Corinna[/name]
[name]Maris[/name]
[name]Danika[/name]
[name]Britta[/name]
[name]Brynlee[/name]
[name]Sadie[/name]
Devony
[name]Teagan[/name]
[name]Macy[/name]

Thank you for your message  I haven’t suggested the traditional spelling of [name]Carys[/name] to him, mostly because I don’t think I would choose that way simply because I don’t think it would be as clear for others to pronounce. I like your suggestions…we have a couple friends and family with a few of those great choices already!..of course

Others I have listed or suggested to him are:

[name]Calla[/name] (which you mentioned
[name]Elsa[/name]
[name]Verity[/name]
[name]Claudia[/name]
[name]Perla[/name]

I tend to find names with the “a” sound and I would love some suggestions that don’t necessarily end that way…like [name]Karis[/name] Oh, and the middle name will for sure be [name]Ruth[/name]

[name]Clea[/name] (clay-uh)
[name]Thea[/name]
[name]Anya[/name]
[name]Audra[/name]
[name]Blair[/name]
[name]Darcy[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Delia[/name]
[name]Elara[/name]
[name]Elena[/name]
[name]Ione/name
[name]Lelia[/name] (leel-yuh)
[name]Leda[/name]
[name]Mavis[/name]
[name]Petra[/name]
[name]Sylvie[/name]
[name]Vada[/name]
[name]Zara[/name]
[name]Ayla[/name]
[name]Amelia[/name]
[name]Emmeline[/name]
[name]Genevieve[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name]
[name]Edith[/name]
[name]Evelyn[/name]
[name]Aveline[/name]
[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Ada[/name]
[name]Vera[/name]

Well there are some to think about. Good [name]Luck[/name]!

Thank you ladies  Keep the ideas coming please!

I second the motion to change to the traditional spelling of [name]Carys[/name]. [name]Karis[/name] looks very harsh to me. I do love [name]Cora[/name], but see how you might like something a little more original with your sons names. [name]How[/name] about:

[name]Isla[/name]
[name]Scarlett[/name]
[name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name]
[name]Calista[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name]
[name]Celia[/name]
