We are due in [name_f]October[/name_f] and this is our second girl!
My DH loves the name [name_f]Maya[/name_f], and I while I do like it there are other names I like too, I am not sold yet, and would love some input.
I really like [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], but feel since the Duchess of Cambridge used it there is no point cause every other girl will be [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] now. I also love [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], but feel that works better as a middle. But I am so stumped!!
First DD is [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] btw.
Here are the names DH likes: Maya (that’s it!)
I like [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_u]Brooke[/name_u], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f], [name_u]Allison[/name_u], [name_f]Caroline[/name_f], and Ramona
According to nameberry [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] has been in the top 200 since about 1990. It’s popular and trendy.
According to nameberry, [name_f]Maya[/name_f] has been in the top 200 since about 1997. It’s not so popular as [name_f]Hailey[/name_f].
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] fell out of the top 200 for about 20 years since 1880. [name_m]Even[/name_m] then, it still never fell below 350.
[name_f]Ava[/name_f] has had a rocky past. It was in the top 400 and then took a major punch. Since about 2000, the name has skyrocketed. Maintaining a number 5 or so now.
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u] has been in the top 200 since about 1975. It has since been declining.
[name_f]Nora[/name_f] was popular then it wasn’t and it is now. [name_m]Just[/name_m] recently did it come back.
[name_u]Allison[/name_u] has been in the top 200 since about 1970.
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f] has been a top 400 name since 1880.
[name_f]Ramona[/name_f] was only a top 200 name for about ten years.
Most of these choices follow a trend, they’re trendy. The one that doesn’t though? [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]. It’s not nearly as popular. But it’s my favorite. [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] and [name_f]Ramona[/name_f]. [name_f]Ramona[/name_f] and [name_f]Hailey[/name_f].
What about [name_f]Victoria[/name_f]? It’s popular. Since 1880 It has been in the top 400.
Another suggestion is [name_f]Maia[/name_f]. It’s pronounced like [name_f]Maya[/name_f]. However it’s not as popular. It will also connect the girls names with the AI.
I do like [name_f]Maya[/name_f], I just feel like there are other names to explore and DH hasn’t really given other names at all. I am so indecisive! UGH!
[name_f]Victoria[/name_f] is beautiful but 4 syllables and our last name is Polish with 3 syllables and kinda hard to pronounce. It also has that long e at the end! So [name_f]Maya[/name_f] and [name_f]Ava[/name_f] are perfect in that way because they so are short, easy to spell and easy to pronounce.
I also like [name_f]Keira[/name_f] (pronounced [name_m]Keer[/name_m]-ah) Any thoughts on that one!
I think [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_u]Brooke[/name_u] go best with [name_f]Hailey[/name_f], as they are the most stylistically similar.
I like [name_f]Keira[/name_f], but prefer the spellings [name_f]Kiera[/name_f] and [name_f]Ciara[/name_f]. I don’t think it goes very well with [name_f]Hailey[/name_f] though.
My favorite name from your list is [name_f]Nora[/name_f]!
