My husband and I are ttc #2 and we had previously settled on [name]Margo[/name], [name]Helena[/name], or [name]Sybil[/name] as a sister to [name]Phoebe[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. Yesterday, he told me out of the blue that he likes the name [name]Clementine[/name] more than all the others. I have always liked the name, but wondered if it was too much name to go with [name]Phoebe[/name]. Also, I do not want to meet a bunch of babies with my daughter’s name. I feel like the first three names are more trend-proof and that [name]Clementine[/name] has the potential to go supernova. That said, I really do like the cheeriness of [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name], and it’s a bit gutsier than the other three in my area of the South.
I love all your names! I wouldn’t be worrying about [name]Clementine[/name], though it has the possibility of becoming a nameberry-beloved, [name]Helena[/name] is the more trend-ready name in my view.
If you are really worried, why not use [name]Clementine[/name] as a mn?
I think [name]Margo[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] is super sweet!
I think [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] are awesome together! But I also think [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Margo[/name] are perfect! [name]Clementine[/name] is one of my husband’s favorites, too, I wonder why men like it so much!
Personally, I don’t really like [name]Clementine[/name]. I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Margo[/name] though, it’s always been a favorite of mine.
I don’t think you have to worry about [name]Clementine[/name] becoming too popular. I’m from the South too, and I’ve never met a single one. Not even an adult named [name]Clementine[/name].
I love [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] both with [name]Phoebe[/name]! And, no, I don’t think [name]Clementine[/name] is too much.
I’m sure you’re aware, but [name]Sybil[/name] has the multiple identities connotation (from the movie), which has the potential to be problematic. I also agree that, [name]Helena[/name], while it is a beautiful name, probably has a greater popularity potential than [name]Clementine[/name].
My partner loves [name]Clementine[/name] too! I agree with the other posters [name]Phoebe[/name] and clementine is fine together BUT [name]Margo[/name] is perfect. I see [name]Clementine[/name] making it big here in [name]California[/name]. It is on all my girlfriends lists. While [name]Margo[/name] is unheard of, in a good way. You cant really go wrong all your names are really nice.
[name]Pheobe[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] are delightful! They both sound light and playful, whereas [name]Margo[/name] sounds more serious (in my opinion).
Thanks for all your replies! Sounds like most people prefer [name]Margo[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] to [name]Helena[/name] and [name]Sybil[/name]. [name]Margo[/name] is probably the front-runner for me (I picked it when I chose [name]Phoebe[/name]) but DH has never been sold on it. As to the popularity, I know that the name [name]Margo[/name] will probably never be overly used, but I worry that it could get lost in the crowd of all the Maggies and Margarets that seem to be up and coming around here. And while there are no Clementines NOW, it seems like one of those names that was SO rare, it suddenly explodes b/c it has that popular -ine ending and everyone thinks they discovered it. Like the pp said, it’s big in [name]California[/name]. Never a good sign! Of course, it’s a long way from [name]California[/name] to my traditional corner of the South. IDK! Anyway, I’m glad to hear you think [name]Phoebe[/name] and [name]Clementine[/name] work together. I, too, think they sound like a happy pair!
Sorry! Anyway, as for the [name]Margo[/name] [name]Clementine[/name] it is super cute, but I like to use family names as middles. So it’s [name]Clementine[/name] ___ or nothing!
