Nn I am pulling out could be lee, hugh, hughey, Hux, [name_m]Huck[/name_m] can you think of any more?
Is this name useable for a real child I have not heard it before?
As you can see from my signature, I love [name_m]Huxley[/name_m]. It’s a great way to get to the NN huck for me. I think I prefer it for a middle, but indefinitely think it’s wearable as a middle.
See, I go back and forth on this name. My first association was when I was little and watched “[name_m]Elmo[/name_m] in Grouchland” and the mean man who stole [name_m]Elmo[/name_m]'s blanket was named [name_m]Huxley[/name_m]. Lol. In my little childhood mind, he was pure evil. [name_m]Even[/name_m] though that was years ago, the connotation still sticks with me. The name itself also is pretty harsh, but the “x” in it does indeed make it super trendy…so…I guess it wouldn’t be out of place.
I believe [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] would make for a great, daring middle name paired with a more classic first name! I could see how it could possibly work in the first name spot, but it is not my personal style there.
I also think of [name_m]Aldous[/name_m] [name_m]Huxley[/name_m]. This is one of those names that, in order to use, I think you kind of have to do a bit of required reading or someday someone will come along and ask you an offhanded, innocent question about your child’s namesake and you might be like, um, what?
[name_u]Ever[/name_u] heard of the dystopian novel Brave [name_m]New[/name_m] World? [name_m]Aldous[/name_m] [name_m]Huxley[/name_m].
When you’ve read the word “orgy” ten times on the same page, you start to see less appeal in the author’s name. He’s an intelligent man, but the associations are pretty grim and most people will assume you’re a huge vintage science-fiction dystopian fan.
It’s one of my guilty pleasure names. I normally hate surnames as first names but [name_m]Huxley[/name_m] is just so cool. [name_m]Huck[/name_m] and Hux are both cool nicknames too!
