Huxley?

We’re having a really hard time settling on a name for our son, who will be born within the next couple weeks. We just started really liking [name]Huxley[/name]…what do you think? Our daughter’s name is [name]Caroline[/name]. [name]Do[/name] they go together, or is it too much of a mismatch? Curious to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

While I don’t have anything against the name [name]Huxley[/name] itself, it seems a little mismatched with [name]Caroline[/name]. [name]Huxley[/name] sounds more modern and hip, while [name]Caroline[/name] sounds more traditional or classic.

I like [name]Huxley[/name] and I like the sibset of [name]Huxley[/name] and [name]Caroline[/name]! I think the names blend well together but would allow the siblings to be individuals in their names.

[name]Huxley[/name] skews a bit feminine which doesn’t bother me, but would bother a lot of people.

I think it’s fine to go a little different on naming styles for opposite gendered kids. They go together alright.

[name]Huxley[/name] isn’t my favorite because it sounds trendy & high school reading intellectual to me.

[name]Huxley[/name] isnt my usual style but i think it’ll be fine as a sib name, and i love the nn [name]Huck[/name]

I really like [name]Huxley[/name] (and I adore [name]Aldous[/name] [name]Huxley[/name]) so I think it’s a great name! I think it sounds fine with [name]Caroline[/name] too.

I know it’s trendy, but are you open to [name]Henry[/name]? It’s a little closer for a style match to [name]Caroline[/name].

[name]Huxley[/name] doesn’t necessarily clash, though.

I love the sound of [name]Huxley[/name] but it does have an unfortunate meaning. If that doesn’t bother you, then go for it. Personally, I don’t think it’s trendy. It sounds more classic to me. The nn [name]Huck[/name] is adorable.

I think it is a great name and works fine with [name]Caroline[/name]. As another person said, it allows them to be individuals, rather than a matched set. Good luck with your decision!
