Hey y’all! I’m looking for opinions on the name [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] rhymes with [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]! I love the name [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] but I’m unfortunately not able to use it, so [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] is a good alternative! Is it better as a first or middle? What names work with [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m]? Thanks!
I think [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] is better as a middle.
[name_u]Parker[/name_u], [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m], [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_u]Aiden[/name_u], [name_m]Leo[/name_m], [name_u]Anderson[/name_u], [name_m]Anders[/name_m], [name_u]Wilder[/name_u]…so many names go with ti!
I think usable as a middle… It has a strong hotel-name association.
[name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] is such a great name, and I like [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] as an alternative in theory, but I have to agree with @CurlyC that the hotel association is prominent for me. That would probably lead me to use it as a middle rather than a first. Still, there are worse associations a name could have–if you really love it, I do think it’s useable as a first. I wonder if another name that shares [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m]’s fun “W,” long “i” sound, or “t” ending would appeal?

I prefer [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] In the middle. I agree i automatically thought of the hotel chain, it would be like using [name_m]Hilton[/name_m]
Perhaps [name_m]Hoyt[/name_m] or [name_m]Hewitt[/name_m]/Huitt
[name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] is interesting and i kind of like it -maybe because i don’t have the hotel association.

Exactly what I was thinking
[name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] sounds just like hi-hat to me (cymbal on a drum kit). Not a bad association as such but I wouldn’t use it personally. It’s a shame you can’t use [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] because it’s a great name!
I think it’s a nice name but the association with the hotel chain is too strong for me.
This is an interesting one. Before opening your post my first thoughts were
a) the hotel chain
b) sounds like [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m].
I’ve never thought about this name. But I don’t hate it.
As a first name I think it could pair nicely with a lot of names from classic to more modern.
Also want to add that nameberry does list it as a name. [name_m]Even[/name_m] if they do say it only works with ‘brothers [name_m]Hilton[/name_m] and Marriott’ (haha)
If you like it I say go for it.
I’m with the others – the hotel association is strong (I also immediately thought to hi-hat as @floatinthesky did) and it would work best as a middle name.
If the association(s) doesn’t bother you though, [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m] could work as a first name - [name_f]English[/name_f] surnames are quite trendy right now, after-all.
I actually really like [name_m]Hyatt[/name_m], which is odd considering I’m not fond of [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m] (I guess it’s no different than me liking [name_m]Helix[/name_m] but not liking [name_m]Felix[/name_m]). I’ve actually never heard of the hotel but I mean, people name their kids [name_m]Weston[/name_m] and [name_m]Conrad[/name_m] which are also hotel names. I like it as a first name, it’s different!
