I’ve posted a couple times about the little boy joining our family in December….I’m taking a different approach this time, just to see if something new resonates!
Our second son’s name is [name_m]Cormac[/name_m], also a winter baby. His name is very Celtic but has always felt Hygge-ish to me. We pronounce it Cor-mick/muck with the second syllable being softer. It’s always felt strong yet soft and cozy to me.
So if you could pair any hygge boy name with an older brother [name_m]Cormac[/name_m], what would it be?! We live in Minnesota, so the idea of hygge definitely resonates with us in the winter months!
Well, I had to look up the word hygge, but now I get it!
I’ve only ever read [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] & hadn’t really heard it. Since you said that you say it w/emphasis on the first syllable, I like it even more now!
I think it sounds poetic! And I love all the nickname potential ! [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] and [name_m]Cormac[/name_m] are so perfect together for brothers !
I know a little [name_u]Arthur[/name_u] that goes by [name_m]Thor[/name_m] ! And he’s literally the cutest . His uncle dubbed him with [name_m]Thor[/name_m] and it just stuck !
With [name_m]Cormac[/name_m], I’d name a second boy [name_m]Ivor[/name_m] or [name_u]Finnegan[/name_u], which make me think of a cozy little scene with two brothers sitting in front of the fire, hot chocolate mugs in their hands and handmade wool socks on their feet, cuddled-up in soft blankets and listening to an audiobook, probably [name_u]Harry[/name_u] [name_m]Potter[/name_m], [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings or [name_f]Narnia[/name_f], while outside the snow falls slowly and the stars are glistening.

Congratulations!
I know a Hugo whose nickname is literally Hygge and Hugo would be cute with Cormac. I also love Alistair and Cedric for you but some might say that Cedric’s too close to Cormac.
