I have wanted a little girl for so long. I have had 6 boys. I have one daughter and she is much older, as in, 15 yrs old. ALL my name are out of date or have become super popular. I loved the name [name]Ava[/name], but now everyone tells me it is used all the time. I had liked [name]Sarah[/name] back when I was having my first child, but now, it is just too plain and was too popular back then. I don’t really want a name where my children know lots of people their own age by that name. Meaning, I do not want a name that was popular in the 90’s. I know I have plenty of time, but we have learned from experience that given a whole year, dh and I cannot come up with a name. My dh likes [name]Olivia[/name], but it seems more popular than [name]Ava[/name].
[name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Ava[/name] are both very popular right now. Would you mind sharing the names of your kids to give us a better idea of what you might like?
I agree, while this child is a lot younger than your other daughter and so you won’t want “90’s” names for her as such, you still need a name in keeping with the style of names you’ve used on your other children, such as classic, nicknamey, exotic, vintage, biblical etc.
[name]Olivia[/name] was the 3rd highest ranked girls name in [name]America[/name] in 2009 with 17,246 baby girls given the name, [name]Ava[/name] wasn’t far behind in 5th place and with 15,730 babies given the name.
Here are some fresh ideas, without realling knowing your style but assuming you like quite classic, feminine names like [name]Olivia[/name] and [name]Ava[/name]. I’ve put in brackets where they ranked on the popularity list in 2009 and have tried not to pick names that were used a lot in the 90s like [name]Emily[/name]. Since I assume your daughter was born in 95/96 I’ve also included the ranking for 1996 in the second bracket to give you an idea of how many babies of that name are around your daughters age now. I’ve stayed outside of the current top 25.

[name]Hope[/name] that provides some inspiration!
When I was much younger…I had liked [name]Riley[/name], [name]Britta[/name], [name]Andrew[/name], [name]Grayson[/name], and [name]Gavin[/name]. Of those names, I love [name]Gavin[/name] and would name a baby that still today in a heart beat. But my [name]Gavin[/name] is only 6. I used to really prefer more contemporary names so 10 years ago, [name]Tatum[/name] was one of my top names. Some names I have liked but cannot use are [name]Emme[/name], [name]Halle[/name], I LOVED [name]Meadow[/name] not so long ago, but I think it is too out-there for us to use. [name]Maisy[/name] used to be on our list. Maybe it needs to be on there again. I actually like the way [name]Paisley[/name] sounds, but too many people have said negative things about it and DH says he could never live with it.
